A somewhat belated update, but an important one nonetheless - thanks to your incredible donations, we were able to finish reinforcing the roofing on our aviary building with polycarbonate sheeting. It's not the prettiest job in the world, but for a DIY effort it does the trick nicely!

This has already made a huge difference to the aviaries, as it has also helped to keep them much drier during the heavy winter rain. We are so grateful to the dozens of people who generously donated to help make this effort possible, as well as those who have been sending through well wishes. Thank you for helping to protect our resident birds from H5N1, which is unfortunately continuing to spread through wildlife.

Our flocks are otherwise all doing well, and we hope yours are too! 🧡🐦‍⬛🐦🦜🕊️

Hello friends! We have recently moved some more birds out into the aviaries, so now have several flight cages which we no longer need. They need a proper clean, but are otherwise still in okay condition. They are free to whoever can use them for their personal birds or small pet rodents, as long as you are not a backyard breeder (this would be antithetical to our ethos as a rescue).

Pickup is at the sanctuary in Warragul. You will need to either bring a trailer/4WD or disassemble them yourself.

NO HOLDS - we were stuffed around by too many people who never showed up last time we made a similar post to this.

Photo is for illustrative purposes, but most of the cages are similar to the one shown 🙂
