THE END OF THE ROAD;
Some big news. After 3 days of lethargy, vomiting, lack of interest in food or drink, and test results pointing to a possible uterine infection, Burrinjuck Garam Masala ~ Beatrice was spayed today, ending her motherhood journey in order to save her health.

“As a guardian with Bea has been loved and supported incredibly from the start. Katrina and Hamish have shown such a deep care for our girl (as they do for all their dogs) and it has been such a wonderful experience to partner with them.

I’m so grateful for the 8 perfect pups Beatrice produced last year, and to have one of them in our family especially! I know the 2 guardian girls from that litter will keep her line going and I would totally recommend getting in line for one of those pups if you can! (No bias;)

Thank you for being my guide and support on this amazing adventure. I will recommend it to anyone who will listen!

Born 9th November, 2023.

We have made the difficult decision to offer Apache Park Alchemy through a modified Guardianship where he would remain entire for another twelve months prior to his retirement. The cost of the modified Guardian Program is $2500. He would be your forever family member.

We are bringing a new stud to Burrinjuck from a fellow breeder in a few weeks. We can only house a certain number of dogs on our property so we are feeling the waters regarding interest in becoming family for this divine Groodle stud.

Apache Park Alchemy is a true medium size with the most amazing chocolate Merle Patterning. It is his soft and gentle nature that truly sets him apart. He is a lot of fun with his goofy antics. He would make himself at home in a range of living arrangements.

He deserved to be somebody’s special goodest boy!

MEDIUM SIZING
It can be difficult to predict sizing, particularly the medium size range.

The reason is in the lottery of the genes. Sizing is dictated by Large size genes and Small size genes.

If you pair two medium sized dogs, alleles of L/s and L/s can combine in a myriad of combinations. LL will create a large medium sized doggo; Ls will be true medium and if the ss genes get together you are looking at a more compact small-medium size pooch.

If size matters most, then my advice would be to avoid medium size dogs. For in the words of Forest Gump, “ Life is like a box of chocolates. You never quite know what you will get”.

Update for Pickle who is 10 months old.

She is the sweetest smartest little girl. She loves her big brother Beau (13yo Burrinjuck labradoodle) and her human 16yo brother.

I am amazed how on point you were with your description of her nature as a puppy - she is just as you wrote- an observer and then once she understands a new situation is relaxed and enthusiastic. She adores the 16yos that come and go from our house as well as little kids and adults. She loves playing with dog friends in the park and again her observant nature means she seems to have good park manners. Her beautiful chocolate coat continues to maintain its dark tones. She is very quick to learn new tricks and is keen to please. She is on the smaller size at 13.6kg and we think this is perfect.

Pickle is just divine looking - rich soft chocolate locks with some face highlights.

We really do love her and we are so glad she came into our family. I can wholeheartedly recommend Burrinjuk Labradoodles as breeders who really know their pups and show great care to their dogs and families who adopt“ Erin

SABLE:
Burrinjuck Graffiti glistened with gold tips on a dark chocolate base colour from birth. The son of Burrinjuck Rose Tattoo and Burrinjuck Ikigai, born on the 6th May. I knew he was special but was not quite sure how to describe him. At first I thought the markings might be phantom. But was a little confused as the hints of bronze behind the ears and over the forehead were not typical of phantom markings.

So I asked my breeder friends and they unanimously agreed that Burrinjuck Graffiti is indeed a chocolate sable.

It is rare for us to breed Chocolate Sable colouring. In fact, I can only remember breeding this colour patterning once before. It was from Rose Tattoo and Le Cadeau’s litter, born in October 2024.

Below is a photo of Burrinjuck Bowie at 18 months. What an incredibly stunning boy.

Guardian Puppy Update 🐶

“Good afternoon guys

Just thought I’d send through a quick update on Dotti (Rhapsody)

She has settled in well! Loves to keep her mind active whether it’s play tug-o-war or learning new things and love romping around her big yard. She sleeps all night, no toilet accidents!!!

We are currently working on ‘being alone’ as this is quite devastating for her, but she’s getting there.

She’s like my little mini me, follows me around everywhere.
