🐹 Meet Rexie! 💕

Rexie came in with a very sore eye, and we soon discovered why… a 10mm piece of hay was stuck in it! 🌾👀

We carefully removed it under local anaesthesia in the consult room, and Rexie was soon feeling much more comfortable. 🥰

We regularly see guinea pig and rabbit patients, and love caring for these little guys! 🐹🐰❤️

💕 Poppy's on the mend! 💕

Gorgeous Poppy came to see us feeling very unwell with severe gastroenteritis. She was having a really tough time, but with plenty of supportive care and lots of TLC, this beautiful girl made a full recovery. 🐶❤️

Seeing Poppy back to her happy, gorgeous self was the best reward! We’re so pleased you’re feeling better, Poppy. 🥰🐾

Meet Teddy! ❤️🐶
When this handsome Staffy came to see Dr Hannah, he was very unwell. After some investigation, she diagnosed him with Addison's Disease (aka Hypoadrenocorticism).

Addison’s is relatively rare, affecting roughly 0.5% of dogs, but it can make them incredibly sick when their body isn't producing the hormones it needs.

The good news is that Addison’s is a treatable lifelong condition, and many dogs can pull through an initial crisis when treatment is started in time. Thankfully, gorgeous Teddy responded really well to treatment. ❤️🐾

These days, he's looking much more like the happy, cheeky Teddy we all know and love! We’re so happy to see Teddy doing so well! ❤️

🦖✨ Recovery has never looked so stylish! ✨🍩

This gorgeous pup is serving some serious post-op fashion goals in a dinosaur recovery suit, donut cone, and a traditional e-collar. Safe, snug, and absolutely adorable! 💚

Every pet heals a little differently, and sometimes a few extra layers of protection help keep curious noses and busy paws away from their surgical site while they heal. 🐾😍

New favourite spot unlocked. 😻

This gorgeous kitty wasted no time making themselves comfortable in our consult room. We think they've claimed the best seat in the clinic! 💙

Cats really do have a talent for making themselves at home wherever they go. 🐾

We'd like to report a serious case of puppy distraction... 🐶💕

Dr Hannah was supposed to be working, but this little sweetheart had other plans. 🥹 Luckily, puppy cuddles are part of the job!

We know vet visits can sometimes feel a little daunting, so we love taking the time to help every pet feel comfortable, safe and loved. ❤️🐾

🐱 A cosy carrier, a curious little paw, and a safe trip home. 💙

This gorgeous kitty was one of our National Desexing Month patients, recovering comfortably after their procedure and ready to head home to their family.

It's been a busy month here at FVAH and we're so grateful for the amazing support we've received so far to our desexing program. With half the month still to go, we've already helped to desex 4 dogs and 11 cats! 🐾😻

Every pet desexed is a step towards reducing unwanted litters and supporting healthier, happier lives for our furry companions.

If desexing has been on your to-do list, there's still time to book during National Desexing Month. We look forward to helping even more pets over the coming weeks! 🐾❤️

July is National Desexing Month, and we're offering significantly discounted desexing procedures throughout July to help more pets receive the care they need before the spring breeding season.

Desexing can help:
✔ Prevent unwanted litters
✔ Reduce roaming and some unwanted behaviours
✔ Lower the risk of certain health conditions

If you've been thinking about desexing your furry family member, now is the perfect time to chat with our team. We'll happily answer your questions and help you decide what's best for your pet.

Peach may have come out worse for wear in a cat fight… but he’s definitely winning the recovery 😻😻

After coming in with some nasty injuries, Peach was treated by Dr Hannah & Dr John and sent home with instructions to rest up and have plenty of cuddles (which we’re sure he’s been following perfectly 🐾💕)

Now he’s well on the way to healing and looking very proud of himself (and extra adorable) in his little cone 🍑✨
