Doug Gorrel Racing Doug Gorrel Racing is based in Wagga Wagga, Australia at the Murrumbidgee Turf Club. His first winner came at Cowra with bonny mare Liabilityadjuster.

Doug Gorrel started his racing stable in early 2016 at Thoroughbred Park, Canberra. Doug had previously worked with some of Canberra's stables and has had a lifelong love of racing - as a mug punter, bookies' clerk, racehorse owner, racing journalist, jockey manager and owner-trainer. FAIR MASTER is off to Rosehill where he will compete in the TAB HIGHWAY CLASS 2 HANDICAP (1500 METRES) tomorrow.

A huge first time experience for him , we hope he enjoys the trip away and takes it all in his stride.

It is brilliant to see formally trained by Doug Gorrel racing “TURNAWAY” out there doing great things in his new career.

We take a lot of pride for our horses throughout their work programs and racing preparations to ensure that when the time comes to retire them , they are happy, safe, sound and ready to take on a new aspect of life…whatever discipline that may be.

Our Thoroughbreds really are such a versatile breed and it’s so great to see them enjoying their after racing lives.

What a fantastic event the equimillions is to encourage more attraction to our OTTB’s.
