🐾Tilly wants you to know that she tried reeeeeally hard to be still for a picture 🐾

We had so much fun meeting her for her first visit to the clinic today and she was a very brave girl for her vaccination. 🧡

There is a lot of information out there about the best food to feed your pets, and sometimes this can be overwhelming and confusing.

We understand that everybody has a preference when it comes to selecting food, but there are some key things to keep in mind to ensure your pet is always feeling their best.

🍴 Is there an ingredient list and full nutritional breakdown? You should be able to find the percentage of nutrients in the food such as fats and proteins.
🍗 Nutritional requirements vary greatly depending on individual needs such as breed, size, life stage, illness or even environmental factors. A 12-week-old Malinois will NOT have the same diet as an 8-year-old Pug.
🥑When considering a change to specialty diets like raw feeding, it is important to discuss the change with your vet to ensure that all nutritional needs are being met and the risk of food born illness is being reduced.

Don't be distracted by fancy packaging and marketing, read your labels and do your research. All pet food should be complete and balanced to ensure happy and healthy fur family members.✨

The royal show has come to an end and unlike Merlin who kept the surgery table warm all weekend, some of our wonderful clients were hard at work showing their beautiful babies.

If your pups or kitties were at the show last week, we’d love to see how they did. 🐾

✨New Treats in stock✨

Rupert the Bernese mountain dog visited today for a small procedure. Do you think he was trying to hint to his mum that the treat wall was looking pretty appealing? 🍩

✨ALLERGY SEASON HAS ARRIVED✨

We have noticed a significant increase in pets presenting with allergies over the last few weeks. Allergies can be triggered by many things in the environment and might not always be obvious to us.

It is important to remember that treatment is not a one size fits all, and management can often be ongoing rather than a 'quick fix'. If something doesn't seem right with your pet, don't ignore it, give us a call!

Virginia Veterinary is located just off Penfield Road. We have loved getting to see so many old friends and patients and meeting new ones!
Owned and operated by Dr Jo Bromley, supported by a dedicated and qualified team.

🌈 Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day 🐾

Some pets come into our lives and leave footprints that stay with us forever.

Today we remember the much-loved companions who are no longer by our side — the ones who greeted us at the door, shared our routines, made us laugh and somehow always knew when we needed them most. ❤️

For our team, it’s also a day to remember the special patients we’ve had the privilege of knowing and caring for over the years.

If there’s a special pet you’re remembering today, we’d love to see their beautiful face. Share a photo in the comments so we can remember them with you. 🐾

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DOG DAY 🐾🐶✨

We love to celebrate dogs of all shapes and sizes. They love us unconditionally, make us laugh when we need it most, and somehow always know when we need a cuddle. 🥰
