🚨 **BUNBURY PARVO WARNING — PLEASE KEEP OUR DOGS SAFE** 🚨
There has been an increase in confirmed Parvovirus cases around the Bunbury area, so I want to take this opportunity to remind all of my clients just how important it is to protect your dogs — and every other dog that comes through the salon. 🐾❤️
**PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR DOG IS VACCINATED BEFORE ATTENDING GROOMING.**
Parvovirus is extremely contagious and can be a devastating disease, particularly for puppies and dogs who are not adequately protected.
If your dog is unwell for ANY reason, please do not bring them to their grooming appointment.
If your dog has vomiting, diarrhoea, lethargy, loss of appetite, or anything else that makes you think they may be sick, please contact your vet and reschedule their grooming appointment.
🚨 **MOST IMPORTANTLY:**
If your dog has been diagnosed with Parvovirus or ANY contagious/infectious disease, you MUST advise me before bringing them to the salon.
My salon policy is that I will not groom any dog diagnosed with a contagious disease for a minimum of 3 MONTHS following diagnosis, due to the potential risk of transmission to other dogs.
This policy is not negotiable.
I understand that cancelling an appointment can be frustrating, particularly during busy periods, but the health and safety of every dog in my care has to come first.
I have puppies, elderly dogs, medically vulnerable dogs and dogs who may be more susceptible to serious illness coming through my doors. I simply cannot risk exposing them because someone doesn't want to miss a grooming appointment.
❤️ Please vaccinate.
❤️ Please don't bring sick dogs to the salon.
❤️ Please be honest about contagious illnesses.
❤️ Please respect the 3-month exclusion period.
I'd much rather reschedule a groom than ever have to worry that a dog became seriously ill because an infectious disease was brought into my salon.
Let's all do our part to keep Bunbury's dogs safe. 🐶❤️
If you're unsure whether your dog's vaccinations are current, please speak with your veterinarian before their next grooming appointment.
