The "Trewavasae Chilumba Red" (scientifically known as Labeotropheus trewavasae "Chilumba Red") is a highly striking, popular variant of African cichlid native to Lake Malawi.

If you look closely at their face, you will notice a distinct, overhanging, bulbous fleshy snout. This underslung mouth is an evolutionary adaptation that allows them to scrape algae and biofilm off rocks horizontally while staying flat against the rock face to avoid being swept away by turbulent waves.
