Hi everyone!

Just informing everybody and answering a few regular questions in regard to the recent post with the cancellation policy!

“How do I pay for the service?”
Payments are all the same either cash or transfer. I also have a tap & go on my phone so you can tap your card and it’s paid! But you will get charged a surcharge on top of the payment.
“How do I book”
You can either book through messaging me as always or I now offer online booking. Which is a trial and error at this stage as I can’t always guarantee the appointment days/times. I am in the process of having selected days in areas so example. “Devonport on Thursdays” then you can book if that suits you.

Everybody is encouraged to fill out the New Client Intake Form, it’s a once off process!
Alternatively it will be sent to each client when they book an appointment!

Hey lovely clients!

Unfortunately the time has come to introduce a booking system, sadly the rise in people cancelling within a poor timeframe has left me no choice!
I understand emergencies happen, I am always open to servicing your horse without the owner present.
If horses are difficult to catch or badly behaved and I am unable to undertake the task the client will still be charged the service fee.
This will mean clients new and old will have to fill out a once off booking form outlining details of the cancellation policy along with your card details. This is all confidential!
You will have to agree to the policy before any work is taken out on your horse.
I’ve had to make the decision for the welfare of my business! I hope everybody understands!

Cancellations without 12 hours notice will be charged a travel fee which will be 88 cents per kilometre.
The policy will come into effect right away!

People wonder “why does it costs so much to get my horse shod” or “you must make a killing”

Here is $150 worth of shoes, this tiny box!
It’s only enough to do 6 horses.
Each rasp bought is $50 they only last a week if that this time of the year with the mud!

Plus all the other expenses, nails, nippers, the small things nobody knows is included, wire brushes, thrush treatments. Then the travel costs, diesel, tyres, insurances. The list goes on and on.

Yes it may look like you put a lot of cash into our hand but we put a lot of cash into essential tools to keep the business running!
