A good start helps set the tone for the rest of one’s life. Puppy Preschool is very informative and super important. It is also just bloody cute! Some snaps from the latest cohort of graduates. Our classes are in extremely high demand at the moment and Nurse Erin will be running multiple streams each week- please register your interest on our website and we will do our best to accommodate your preference.

What does a locally owned small business do when there is a quick break in the weather on a public holiday to combat rising electicity fees, massive labour costs and a hospital full of sick patients over a busy long weekend?
Bring out a volunteer laundry legend…..Super Dad ❤️

SUNDAY SAYINGS 🦉

“ Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face.”

- Victor Hugo

This has been a challenging week for many of us. We very deliberately have very high staffing levels to keep our level of service and care so high. With sickness and injury hitting us at our busiest period, we thank all our regular clients and tourist guests for their patience when we have had to change appointments around and triage cases to deal with emergencies first. And have there not been some emergencies! We have had everything except Dr Rachel giving birth in our hospital. In fact, I thought that was happening in our treatment room at one point yesterday morning too. There were many sad euthanasias and quite a few tears. Throw in a hurricane in town and it really was quite the week….. BUT a good laugh in the middle of it all does help. This pic was taken laughing at Duty Manager Alex’s makeshift wet weather gear, 60 seconds before the hurricane hit whilst drenched on a home visit.
Sometimes, all you can do is laugh……

Labradors have their breed characteristics listed as “friendly, high spirited and great companions with more than enough love to spread around.” The world needs more things like this in it! Whilst we can’t fill the world with labradors, we are very pleased that “Honey” has joined the UVH family. Whilst Dr Megan was lucky enough to do her consult, Honey started her vet visit acclimatisation by being passed around for cuddles by all of our team throughout all rooms of the hospital. We will love seeing her mature and watching the joy she brings to all 🥰

SUNDAY SAYINGS 🦉

“If it is not right, do not do it. If it is not true, do not say it.”

- Marcus Aurelius

An inportant note from us. This beautiful little joey was brought in yeaterday… orphaned; dehydrated and very weak. Afer an examination, fluid therapy and other treatment by Dr Megan and Nurse Lisa, the joey went into care for further TLC. Thie joey is one of MANY native animals and birds we look after EVERY DAY.

On more than one occasion over the last couple of months, our clients have been told not to bring wildlife to Ulladulla Vet Hospital as “they put them all down.” We are not sure where this has originated but it is untrue. It is also a few other things- unfair, heartbreaking and offensive. Our entire team is made of caring professionals who have spent their entire career trying to save lives. To be told otherwise is ridiculous. And hurtful. People need fo learn that their words matter and have consequences, especially if thet have no basis in fact.

“.Evee”, in for a puppy check up with Dr Megan, has quickly mastered her “where is my treat” face!

A very happy birthday to Client Care Expert Hannah. We simoly couldn’t do what we do without Hannah and Lee- often the first and last faces you see at the vet hospital. We are so grateful 💕

Dr Andrew is currently in Africa loving the amazing animal world.
A big thank you to our team.
It’s easy to find people who can do the job. It’s rare to find a team that carries it together. We’re the rare kind ❤️
