Dog of the Week this time is the beautiful Panda, another fuzzy black and white rescue dog! She's a dignified old lady who was adopted at around age 7 years and she's suffering from all kinds of mild anxiety. But she's adored by her owner Hilary and now, with a little bit of help from me, she's well on the road to being calmer and building more self-confidence (but she still loves her favourite teddy bear) 🥰

Dog of the Week this time is Nylah, she's a young rescue bitza who's adorable but BONKERS! 😁 a change of diet will reduce her energy spikes, but the biggest change happened as soon as I put one of my leads on her like a lasoo. She went from crazy to calm in a heartbeat. Sometimes it can take the most simple thing to trigger a change and break a habit of behaviour. A baby step, but definitely one in the right direction. Amazing how every day and every dog is different 🙂

Dog of the Week this week, of course, has to be the beautiful Amber!
I first came across Amber when her owner, a very kind lady named Carleen, posted on Facebook that Amber the rescue dog was very nervous and timid on walks, so she was asking people not to worry and to understand that Amber was just anxious, she wasn't being mistreated at all.
When I read her story, it really pulled my heart strings and so today I visited Amber in her new home and came up with a range of small things Carleen could do to help Amber feel less stressed.
Poor Amber has clearly had a very hard start to life and lived on the streets just surviving, but despite that she has the sweetest, most friendly disposition, there's not a bad bone in her body and she just wants to be loved. And I'm very happy to report that's exactly what she's now getting. Well done Carleen and good luck to Amber.

Yes, it's Dog of the Week time! Let me introduce you all to Moose. He lives up to his name too, because he's HUGE! A big, beautiful boy who pulls his mum around like she's not even there - but I should say he used to pull... after an hour of learning new techniques and using one of my special leads Moose soon learned how to be calm and he pulls NO MORE!
And is it just me, or does he look like a giant version of my own Loki Poki....???

Mid week madness! These two lovelies are named Buster and Teaha, who were rescued as pups by a lovely lady called Bron, and they now live a happy life in Trinity Park. Despite their happy circumstances, Buster had developed some anxiety issues so I've been working to help him get better. Once I demonstrated a few techniques, we saw an improvement almost immediately, so I'm 100% confident that Buster and Teaha will live even happier lives now 😊

Hi everyone! I know it's a bit early for Dog of the Week, but this beautiful boy forced my hand 😍 his name's Bruce and he's a very handsome Belgian Malinois. 12 weeks old only and he looks adorable, but look at those forearms... he's going to be a biiiiiig boy! So starting his training early will really help as he grows up.

Check out this big, beautiful girl 😍 her name's Nia, she's not even a year old and she's mega! Look at that innocent face, as if butter wouldn't melt in her mouth, but her owners asked me to help because the big boofhead gets so overexcited that she knocks people over! But within an hour I had her sitting as peaceful as a lamb and I'm 100% confident that she's going to be fine.

Although I absolutely love my job, sometimes it does break my heart a little bit... this beautiful girl is called Sparkles and she was rescued from a puppy farm. She's about 5, god knows how many litters she had, and now she's terrified of everything and everybody. But she's been taken in by a very loving local family and I'm working pro-bono to help rehabilitate her. Wish me luck everyone, because poor Sparkles really does deserve to sparkle ❤

Hello everyone. As I always put a dog's welfare at the very top of my priorities, for years now, I've described myself as an 'ethical' dog trainer but have sometimes struggled to explain what I mean.
But I think this recent statement from the International School of Canine Psychology and Behaviour sums it up brilliantly for me 🙂
