I'm back! 😃 all my travels and extra training is over and I'm back to work. That's the good news, the bad news is I'm losing sight in my right eye, so need an operation, and had an accident which resulted in three broken teeth 🙄 I need to buy a lotto ticket, as surely my luck is due to change!
Anyway, I need some advice and am hoping you good doggy people can help me...
I have a government funded business adviser working with me at the moment and she came up with a 'pay-it-forward' idea that could allow me to help more rescue dogs and get caring people involved through donations. Her idea is as follows;

5. The Pay-It-Forward Concept
I still think this is one of your strongest opportunities because it aligns perfectly with your values and the work you're already doing.

Some possible implementations:
Pay-It-Forward Training Session
Donate $25, $50 or $100 towards helping an adopted rescue dog.

Sponsor a Rescue Consultation
Customers can fully fund a support session for a rescue family.

Doctor Dog Rescue Fund
Contributions are pooled and used to provide behavioural support to adoption organisations and families in need.

You could then share stories (with permission) showing the positive impact these donations have had. This not only supports the rescue community but also helps reinforce Doctor Dog's reputation and mission.

Well, this week's dog of the week is.... two dogs, again! No, I'm not being lazy, these two came as a package deal and don't they look cute?! Sam and Digger, Digger is the one on the right and Sam is the one that looks like they just walked off the screen of a Walt Disney movie. Both dogs are adorable, but Digger was having some anxiety issues, and the consequent stressed behaviour was rubbing off on an otherwise calm Sam. But with a bit of help, Digger is much calmer so now there's two much happy dogs and a much happier owner!

I struggled with choosing Dog of the Week this time, so chose two!
This is Naya and Chompy, at first glance, they're like chalk at cheese, but they both had behavioural issues which were rooted in anxiety. But now they're both on the road to recovery and are happier than ever before 🙂 if you think your dog may have anxiety issues, let me know and I may be able to help. Doctor Dog

Dog of the Week this time wins through sheer, 100% adorableness! 😍 teeny tiny Zach may only weigh as much as a dog biscuit, but he makes up for it with personality plus and it's been making him a bit boisterous when meeting other dogs. He means no harm of course, but he's coming across sometimes as bad mannered, so I'm teaching his mum and dad the tricks to help Zach remain cool, calm and collected 🙂

PS and for anybody wondering why Zach won the award so early in the week, well, it's because I'm finishing work early and going to the Gold Coast to get married 😁 wish me luck!

Dog of the Week this time is the beautiful Panda, another fuzzy black and white rescue dog! She's a dignified old lady who was adopted at around age 7 years and she's suffering from all kinds of mild anxiety. But she's adored by her owner Hilary and now, with a little bit of help from me, she's well on the road to being calmer and building more self-confidence (but she still loves her favourite teddy bear) 🥰

Dog of the Week this time is Nylah, she's a young rescue bitza who's adorable but BONKERS! 😁 a change of diet will reduce her energy spikes, but the biggest change happened as soon as I put one of my leads on her like a lasoo. She went from crazy to calm in a heartbeat. Sometimes it can take the most simple thing to trigger a change and break a habit of behaviour. A baby step, but definitely one in the right direction. Amazing how every day and every dog is different 🙂

Dog of the Week this week, of course, has to be the beautiful Amber!
I first came across Amber when her owner, a very kind lady named Carleen, posted on Facebook that Amber the rescue dog was very nervous and timid on walks, so she was asking people not to worry and to understand that Amber was just anxious, she wasn't being mistreated at all.
When I read her story, it really pulled my heart strings and so today I visited Amber in her new home and came up with a range of small things Carleen could do to help Amber feel less stressed.
Poor Amber has clearly had a very hard start to life and lived on the streets just surviving, but despite that she has the sweetest, most friendly disposition, there's not a bad bone in her body and she just wants to be loved. And I'm very happy to report that's exactly what she's now getting. Well done Carleen and good luck to Amber.

Yes, it's Dog of the Week time! Let me introduce you all to Moose. He lives up to his name too, because he's HUGE! A big, beautiful boy who pulls his mum around like she's not even there - but I should say he used to pull... after an hour of learning new techniques and using one of my special leads Moose soon learned how to be calm and he pulls NO MORE!
And is it just me, or does he look like a giant version of my own Loki Poki....???
