At Dapper Dogs Day Spa, we believe every dog big or small, young or old deserves the chance to actually understand what's happening around them before we get started.

A new sound, a new smell, a stranger's hands... it can all feel like a lot if you're not given the time to process it.

That's why patience is at the heart of everything we do. We go at their pace, not the clock's. Some pups need thirty seconds to sniff the clippers. Others need a whole session to trust us. Either way, we've got the time.

Because a calm, confident dog isn't rushed into it they're guided there, gently. 💙

New face to Dapper Dogs Day Spa, the handsome and easy going Duke 😊

As we head into spring here in Launceston, our double-coated pups like Duke are starting to blow their winter coats — and that means it's time to give them a little extra TLC.
Double coats (think Golden Retrievers, Huskies, German Shepherds and the like) shed their dense winter undercoat as the weather warms up. Without regular brushing, that loose fur can mat, trap heat, and leave your pup feeling itchy and uncomfortable.

A few signs it's time for a spring groom:
🐶 Excess shedding around the house
🐶 Dull or matted-looking fur
🐶 Your dog seems warmer than usual

Duke came in for a deshedding treatment and a good brush-out, and he's looking (and feeling!) fantastic for the warmer months ahead.
Is your double-coated dog due for some spring care? Book them in with us today! 🌸
