This week we had the pleasure of seeing sweet little Oli for his regular grooming appointment! 🩶

There’s so much focus on a puppy’s first groom and while those early experiences are incredibly important, today we want to shine a little light on a very special group of clients who deserve just as much love and attention; our senior grooming clients

At Dapper Dogs Day Spa, we put our hearts into every single groom, but when an older dog comes through our doors, we take a little extra time to make their appointment slower, gentler and more intimate.

Our senior clients can come with their own unique aches, ailments, conditions, sensitivities, lumps and bumps. Their bodies may not move quite like they used to, and sometimes simply standing for a groom can be tiring. We take all of this into consideration, adapting their groom and handling to keep them as comfortable, safe and relaxed as possible.

Our team are also fortunate to be able to draw upon our vet nursing backgrounds during these moments, giving us that extra understanding of the tender and vulnerable needs of our older clients.

Because sometimes, these appointments aren’t just about keeping a coat tidy.

They’re about making those last years, and sometimes those last precious months, as comfortable and dignified as we possibly can.

Audrey's Grooming journey!

It’s SO rewarding watching a dog who was once highly anxious for her first groom slowly discover that grooming doesn’t have to be scary.

Audrey visited us today for her regular grooming appointment, and the progress she has made has been amazing! She was so much more relaxed, settled beautifully into her routine and thoroughly enjoyed her pampering session with Kirsha.
