Forever Friends Animal Rescue (FFAR) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the rescue and rehoming of homeless animals. Due to FFAR's rapid expansion a new division has been created in Latrobe, Gippsland. We save pets of good temperament from death-row in pounds and shelters, and place them in loving foster homes. Next, we list our rescue dogs and cats on PetRescue.com.au where you can ‘me

et’ them online and contact us about those you are interested in. We then have a short phone interview to make sure the pet sounds like a good match for your lifestyle, and then arrange a meet and greet. If you adopt a FFAR pet, you have the benefit of a four-week trial to ensure your new family member fits in well. Also, our behaviourist assists with any settling-in issues you may have, free of charge. FFAR guarantees we will always take back one of our rescue pets if you become unable to care for them. We are committed to the care of each FFAR pet for the remainder of their life. If you would like to make a donations towards the rescue and rehoming of unwanted animals, donations can be made to:

Gunnar is a young boy who’s been let down not once, but twice by humans. Through no fault of his own, he was returned to the pound less than a year after being adopted. He certainly deserves better than that.

Since leaving our care the first time, Gunnar sadly received little to no ongoing training. He still remembers sit from his puppy days, but the rest will need to be refreshed - & the good news? He’s already showing improvement since being back with us.

Gunnar is an energetic lad who loves to play & absolutely adores his walks. He can pull on the lead, so continued lead training will be important, & while his recall was non-existent on return, it’s steadily improving with consistency & structure. He’ll also need some help getting back into good toilet habits.

This boy will thrive with someone who understands that training isn’t a flaw - it’s an opportunity. With patience, routine & commitment, Gunnar has all the potential to become a fantastic companion.

This boy is your classic young pup – he’ll test boundaries, keep you on your toes & make you laugh along the way. He’s had no formal training before coming into care, so he’s still learning the ropes, but he’s a smart cookie who’s keen to learn!

• Walks best on a halti & is building his lead manners�• Working on his toilet training�• Can get a little enthusiastic with his bedding (puppy life!)�• May jump up when excited, so will need ongoing guidance�• Plays quite rough, so is best suited to larger, tolerant dogs with slow, proper introductions

He loves his walks & being out & about, & when the day winds down, he’s all about the cuddles. He sleeps beautifully in his crate overnight & already knows “sit,” giving him a great foundation to build on.

He hasn’t been tested with cats, & due to his boisterous nature, he’d suit a home with older kids who can handle his enthusiasm.

This boy is the definition of a “diamond in the rough” - with consistency, structure & a committed owner, he’s going to grow into an incredibly loyal & loving companion. A typical staffy through & through 💙

Rezzy may still be young, but this 7-month-old pocket rocket is packed with personality & energy! She’s a fun little adventurer who’s always ready for playtime, zoomies or tagging along for whatever you’re doing.

She’s already showing off some great foundations too — Rezzy has excellent house toilet habits, knows “sit,” has pretty good recall & is coming along nicely on the lead. At night she sleeps like an angel in her crate, making bedtime nice & easy.

Like most young pups, Rezzy will still need someone committed to continuing her basic training as she grows into the wonderful dog she’s going to be.

She can be a tiny bit timid at first, but give her about two seconds & she’ll decide you’re her new best friend.

Delta is equal parts adventure buddy, goofy best friend, and cuddle bug.

After raising two litters of puppies, it’s finally Delta’s turn to just be a dog.

Delta is a nearly 2 year old Kelpie x with a huge personality, endless love to give, and energy to burn. She is the kind of dog that wants to be involved in everything her humans are doing. Whether it’s heading out for a walk, jumping in the car for an adventure, or curling up on the couch for belly rubs, Delta is happiest by your side.

She travels beautifully in the car and is convinced every new person she meets is a potential best friend. If you’re willing to stop and give her a pat, Delta is more than happy to make your acquaintance.

She’s a total goofball with a playful nature and her squeaky cow toy is life. She loves to zoom around, play with other dogs, and make everyone laugh with her silly antics. Once she’s had her exercise though, she’s all about cuddles and affection.
