Unfortunately, we have already seen a big increase in snake bites & snake encounters.
Encounters with snakes can be scary and potentially devastating for our pets.
⚠️ 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗻𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲:
• Sudden weakness or collapse, even with fast recovery.
• Vomiting or excessive drooling
• Wobbly walking or paralysis
• Tremors or difficulty breathing
• Dark or red-coloured urine
❗️𝘿𝙞𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬?
Pets bitten by snakes can initially appear completely normal. Symptoms may not develop until hours later.
If you see your pet with a snake, even if you can’t find a bite mark, seek veterinary advice immediately and please do NOT get close to or touch the snake.
