The second tracking trial of the COCT tracking season is done and dusted🐾

Once again a successful trial was run by the club. To all competitors regardless of leaving with a pretty ribbon and fancy card you and your dogs are all winners - stepping up and stepping out with your dogs is to win🥰

Thank you to our local judges Janette Cussons and Debbie Schmidt for your judging and critiquing of dogs and handlers.

🐶 to our club members who answered the call to help with track laying , stewarding, setting track you are all fantastic. It’s a big ask to ask people to give up the weekend sleep in to be out in the paddock by 6am.

🍳 Snow thank you for wonderful breakfasts following each mornings tracking - you sent everyone out with full stomachs to set tracks for the next days competition.

🐾 to all handlers thank you - no task too menial or too hard for anyone - always a smile.

🐕 Special thank you to Robert for bring retired tracking dog Ace out for the dog cross track for the TD9 - I hear Ace strutted around

We are in the midst of trial season and we have our next two(!) Multisport Trial weekends open for entries 🏆
During these weekends, you can trial in Rally, Obedience, Agility, Jumping, Games and Tricks. 🐾

Our next one is the 31st of July & 1st of August. The one after that is on the 28th & 29th of August. We have some amazing judges lined up and we are hoping for many quals! More importantly, it is going to be a lot of fun 💞

Sprint Training Day registrations are now open on MemberJungle!
How efficient is our amazing team getting this online so quick🥰. And we aim to have both the Training Day and our SprintDogtm Trial be just as efficient and so much fun 😁

The training day will be on the 4th of July at Heatley Park. It will be a full set up and the perfect chance to get your dog ready for the trial🐾

On yesterday's beautiful cloudy day, we had an incredible demo day for SprintDogtm. One of the perks of being a member with us 😉We showed the basics of the lure (Note- this was just to show the lure, the full trial set up will have fencing etc. 🦺) and we went over the sport and what a general trial day looks like, as well as discuss some training ideas.

Just a reminder that our SprintDogtm Trial for the 8th and 9th of August is open for registration! Make sure to grab your spot quickly.

We will be hosting a training day where we will have the full setup. It will be a great chance to practice the run with your dog. Keep an eye on this page - it will become available on MemberJungle soon 🙌. And the best news, this will be open to anyone that is a Dogs Queensland member!

If you are still needing to become a member of Dogs Queensland, please note that this process can take a few weeks, so get your paperwork in as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing many new faces and meet your amazing dogs!

Did you know that our next Scent Work Trial is open of entries?? Taking place on the 18th & 19th of July, it's bound to be a great time!

You can enter the trial on TopDog Events 💚
If you would like to do a trial, but are unsure of how they work, you can always reach out to us and sn**ch one of the volunteer spots. It's a great way to help contribute to our volunteer run club and learn all the ins and out of a trial, to feel fully prepared for your own turn!

Our first SprintDogTM trial on the 8th and 9th of August is now open for registrations on TopDog 🐕
There are limited spots, so jump online now to secure yours!

We are so excited to bring this fun sport to Townsville and we hope to see many familiar and new faces there.
Just a reminder that you have to be a Dogs QLD (or other state) registered member to be able to enter.
