As many of you know, sometimes as my health declines, my brain gets busier and I’m always looking for something new to learn, create, and challenge myself with. This time, that meant introducing Paracord into our line of already much-loved PVC and Biothane collars.

So as the Latinos say, ”¿Por qué no los dos?” — WHY DON’T WE HAVE BOTH?! 😏

Our PVC and Biothane collars have become customer favourites for good reason. They’re waterproof, stink-proof, easy to clean, durable, and perfect for adventures big and small. Whether your dog loves the beach, muddy puddles, or simply living their best life, they’re designed to keep up.

Paracord brings something a little different to the table. This morning we took part in to help raise awareness for mental health within the veterinary industry — a cause incredibly close to our hearts.

Veterinary professionals face one of the highest rates of psychological distress, burnout and compassion fatigue, with studies showing around 1 in 6 veterinarians have experienced suicidal thoughts. Behind every appointment, emergency, late night and goodbye is a human carrying so much.

As a small business built from a vet nursing background, this cause means a lot to us. We walk to remember, to support, to start conversations and to remind our veterinary community that they matter too.

For Flynn. For our colleagues. For the ones we’ve lost, and the ones still here. 💛🐾

Today we joined Flynn’s Walk 🐾

A morning spent walking beside the veterinary community, raising awareness and remembering the importance of supporting the people behind the pets.

Veterinarians in Australia are estimated to be around 4x more likely to die by su***de than the general population — a reminder that these conversations matter.

Checking in, supporting each other and creating safe spaces can make all the difference 💛

Flynn's Walk Townsville is tomorrow, Sunday May 24th!

Join us at the Parade Grounds at Jezzine Barracks at 8am.

The walking circuit is 3.5km - starting from Parade Ground, along Kissing Point Boardwalk and then to Soroptimist Park, then return to the start.

Key times:
8.00am - Event open, FREE coffee van ☕
8.20am - Short formalities
8:30am - Walk departs 🐾
9.30am - Sausage sizzle starts 🌭
10.00am - Raffle draw 🎫
10.30am - Event closes

Getting there:

Walk or ride your bike if you're local 🚲🚶
Lots of parking available near by 🚗
Raffle happening tomorrow, tickets on sale before and after the walk 🎫
