🐾 Happy International Dog Day! 🐾
Today we’re celebrating the wonderful dogs who bring so much love, laughter and happiness into our lives. From the cheeky puppies to our loyal senior companions, every dog holds a very special place in our hearts.
As a vet clinic, we’re lucky enough to care for dogs throughout every stage of their lives. We see the excited puppies coming in for their first vaccinations, the adventurous dogs needing a little extra care, and the older dogs who have been by their families’ sides for many years.

!!LOST PET PARROT!!

We have had a parrot brought into our clinic this evening. The parrot was found in Torquay and does have an ID tag around its leg.

🪶Avian Influenza outbreak update from us here at Torquay Animal House Vet Hospital! Following advice from the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forrests (DAFF) we have updated our protocols for handling of ALL birds and other marine life in the clinic.

☎️ You MUST call before bringing ANY birds into our building as they need to be brought in to the hospital through a seperate entrance where we can quarantine them and have proper PPE in place to help limit any spread of potential disease.

The advice from DAFF is: “if you notice sick or dead birds or other animals, you should not touch them or get too close. Record your location and report it to the 24-hour Emergency Animal Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888 ⚠️
