It’s a bit quiet here with only two puppies left 🥹 But now they get the full attention from Lulu, Poppy and Oakley! All the pups have been toilet trained and learning basic obedience - sit, stay, come. As foodies of the doggy world training comes easy. Labradors also adore their humans and even though the big dogs may run off into the paddocks, the pups stay at my heels. Oakley Labradors Kelmo Benson

Fun in the autumn sun 🌞 Puppies enjoying a play out the front, the long grass was hilarious 🤣 apparently. We have 6 puppies now and they’ll all be heading to their new homes in the next week or so. It’s a sad time for me 🥹but at this age they are perfect for their furever homes.

Last week all the pups had their first vaccination, microchips and health check. The vet commented that they were a lovely, placid and sensitive litter of pups.
This week starts the process of getting the puppies ready to go to their furever homes. Each and every one of them is going to great homes. I’m going to miss them 🥹, but I’m sure Oakley, Lulu, Koda and Poppy will be happy to get our undivided attention again Oakley Labradors Kelmo Benson

Oakley Labradors is very grateful to have met some truly lovely families who’ve bought from our previous litters. We’ve had a few local beach play dates which has been fun. Kelmo Benson

Morning wake ups with the puppies. They’re now 7 wks of age, becoming more independent and confident. Lulu’s milk bar has officially closed 😂 Oakley Labradors Kelmo Benson

Hervey Bay Mobile Vet will be doing all their first vax, microchip and health checks. I feel very lucky to have this service available locally. The logistics of taking 9 puppies to a vet practice is hard work 🤪

Puppies 6 wks old today, not sure where that time went 🤪🐶 They spend most of their time outside during the daylight hrs. Fleshy bones 🦴 have been introduced which they love (fully supervised).

First time outside -smelling the grass, eating leaves and feeling the sun. A few little insecurities but after about 5 minutes all settled for a nap Oakley Labradors Kelmo Benson

First day out on the lawn tomorrow after I set up an obstacle course. Lots more playing with each other and their toys, but also love sleeping in your lap Oakley Labradors Kelmo Benson

It’s tiring work sleeping 😴 most of the day. Puppies weaning off Lulu so lots and LOTS of cuddles with humans big and small. The choc boys might look light in colour via the pics and video, one a rich choc like Lulu and one rich liver, a shade slightly darker than Lulu. No shades in black 😅 retriever
