🚨 If you found a cockatiel on Saturday morning and were seen travelling in a 2025 Subaru Forester Wagon in Autumn Green Metallic, please come forward!

We have multiple devastated families currently searching for missing pet cockatiels, and several people are now deeply worried this bird may belong to them. Some of these families include children who have already been through significant trauma, making this an incredibly delicate situation.

We do have the vehicle’s registration number, and descriptions of the two women seen in the car. We will not be sharing those publicly at this stage, however the registration does include a smiley face emoji.

If this was you, or if you know who these women are, please do the right thing and come forward.

If you would prefer, you can message Toowoomba Birds or Lennon Starr directly. This will be handled discreetly and without judgement - the priority is simply making sure this bird has the chance to get home if it belongs to one of the families searching.

🚨 DID YOU FIND A HAND-RAISED COCKATIEL?

A concerned community member has made us aware that someone in Toowoomba found a hand-raised cockatiel today 11/7 and is making plans to keep the bird. The finder's vehicle description and registration number have been recorded, but I'm hoping this doesn't need to go any further.

A friendly cockatiel is very likely to be someone’s deeply loved pet. Somewhere nearby, there may be a devastated owner or family desperately searching for them.

If this was you, please make a genuine effort to locate the bird’s owner before deciding to keep or rehome them. You are welcome to contact Toowoomba Birds privately, and we can help compare the bird with current lost-bird reports while keeping identifying details confidential.

If a friend, family member or neighbour has recently found or unexpectedly acquired a cockatiel, please encourage them to come forward and check local lost-pet groups, vets and pet businesses. Anyone claiming ownership should be asked to provide identifying details or photographs.

Please give this little bird every possible chance of getting back home.

I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful human, Shirley, this morning when she dropped off a pet budgie that she had been caring for.

Shirley is part of the team at the newly established Wildlife hospital and they're doing such an incredible job ❤️

🐦 FOUND BUDGIE - RANGEVILLE, TOOWOOMBA 🐦

This beautiful male budgie was found on Jacaranda Street, Rangeville on Saturday and is currently safe and being cared for by a local wildlife carer.

He does have two distinct details that his owner will be able to confirm to prove ownership.

✅ A photo of your budgie (if possible)
✅ Any specific details to help identify him

🐦 FOUND COCKATIEL – WESTRIDGE, TOOWOOMBA 🐦

This beautiful handraised cockatiel was found in the Westridge area on Monday, 22 June and is currently in my care.

I have posted about this little one previously, but have decided to share photos in the hope that they reach the right person.

When this cockatiel was found, it was severely underweight and unwell. Thankfully, after lots of care, warmth and good food, it's now doing much better.

This is very clearly someone's much-loved pet. It is incredibly affectionate, loves cuddles and knows several sounds that were obviously taught to it.

When our team isn't busy looking after animals in store, we're probably at home looking after pets of our own.

And if there's one thing pet owners know, it's that the to-do list never really ends.

Water changes, cage cleans, fresh bedding, litter trays, enclosure maintenance… there's always something that needs doing.

FOUND FANCY PIGEON

A tame fancy pigeon has been found in the Wilsonton area (Toowoomba) on 15/06/2026.

The bird is safe, healthy and in my care until the owners are located, with food and supplies provided by the amazing team at Aquabird Pet Centre Toowoomba
