Grandad’s Grubs

01/06/2026

🍞🦆Bread isn’t a healthy food for ducks. While they’ll often eat it, too much bread can fill them up without providing the nutrients they need.

Mealworms are a much better treat option! They’re packed with protein and ducks absolutely love them
if you want to buy some for the ducks (or chickens) message us on Facebook or instagram 🪱

Here are some ducks enjoying some mealworms from today 🦆🦆

If your chooks are regrowing their feathers after a big autumn moult, or just need some extra nourishment heading in to winter - try them with some black soldier fly larvae. It has significantly more protein, calcium and amino acids compared to mealworns. We aim to be the cheapest supplier in town, with 250g bags for $20 and 50g bag for $5. 🐓🐓🐓

We have black soldier fly larvae good for the eggs🦄🐓🐓🐓

Excited to announce you can now find Grandads Grubs @ Copper Bench in town!! We’ve discounted our 50g bags to $5 each!!!

Also a special thanks to New Leaf Social Work for all you do supporting ND young people. Check out the stand for some great gift ideas leading up to Christmas season 🌻🐓🐓🐓🌻

If there's anything you do this weekend, can it please be popping into to say a massive thank you for supporting us by offering to have a display of our marketstall products 😱 at the best cafe in Toowoomba mind you 🥹

If you've been around for a while, you know I write entire love letters about how sensory friendly + divine the coffee, food and humans are at Copper Bench. So this really does feel like a bit of a dream fan girl moment for me!

And if you're feeling up to it, we won't say no to you buying some of our handmade products where all profits go back to the neurodivergent creators + supporting the continuation of this project 🌱

Please share with everyone because it's just such a wholesome community thing and I'm so happy 😊
