Guaranteed to be raining cats and dogs 🐈 🐕 when nurse Jo has a week off at the beach! Cuddles is enjoying being matt free, I’m enjoying the fact the 19 yo cat handled her sedation like a queen! Stay safe on the roads x

Happy Vet Nurse Day Jo!

This years theme is ‘Everyday Heroes; Strength, Skill and Heart in Action ‘❤️ and this theme really does nail it for the vet nursing community.Add a touch of humour, reliability and loyalty, sums you up!

Thanks for all you do. It gives me great peace of mind knowing that I can come into surgery on a Thursday, as we have done for almost 12 years, and our patients will receive the utmost care, respect and love. I know I can focus on the surgery, while the rest is taken care of. You know what instrument I need when I ask for the ‘round thingy burr’.

Have a great day and know that you are always a valued member of Creatures 🙏 Here’s to 12 more years 🙀

An absolute privilege to visit one of my earliest and oldest patients Gossip, the gorgeous Oriental. She’s 19.5 years old! 🙀 Her secret? A combination of good genetics, good healthcare and training her humans in the art of feline worship! Oh and a bit of sass, still managed a swipe with her pedicure 😼

Would you brake for the snake?

Today I did brake for the snake!

A natural instinct that I am confronted with most of my days on the road as a mobile vet. I encounter a lot of stray or wild animals on the road.

Today I had time to stop. I was travelling at my usual nana pace. I also had time to veer towards the snake, one less I thought.

I have clients that have lost their pets to snakes, and in a split second their faces came to my mind. Some of them very recent and I know the pain and hurt they must be feeling. I mean no disrespect to those who have lost their pets to snakes bites.

But today I chose to brake. Today I choose not to be angry at the wildlife that are so very important for our continued biodiversity.

I know this post will not be popular. A good snakes a dead snake right?

So if you’re behind me on the road, remember one thing, I will brake for 🐍 🦘 🦎 🦅
