Well it's that time of the season again, the weaning cages are full and decisions have been made for our "grow-outs" for the year.

Subsequently, we have these beautiful little youngsters to offer.
All are parent-raised, and have been handled daily in the nest. This helps decrease fearfulness and makes them a lot calmer and easier to work with, should you decide you want to tame them!

First two are yellowface violet normals, both girls, both little heritage birds.
Next, two greywing cinnamon girls, from an exhibition pair of greywings.
Then, a violet-green normal boy, also from exhibition parents.
And lastly, a gorgeous green heritage clearwing boy, who is also split for opaline!

Some exciting news!! We have been tasked with finding homes for these two gorgeous Quaker boys!!

These boys are both blue pallid quakers, DNA sexed. They were bred and handraised by Gary and Shirley Walsh, and Shirley has asked me to take them on with the intent of finding them new homes. They both appear to be very sweet! ( I've only just met them today!)

Some days we have a "Failed Raise". This is a bit like a "foster fail".... you'll raise a bird, with no intention of keeping it, and then fall dramatically and irrevocably in love with it, and just have to keep it.

This little dude, Billy Boy, has claimed a place in my heart and on my shoulder. I had absolutely no intention of keeping one this year, in fact I was quite convinced I wasn't ready for another quaker... but turns out, another quaker was ready for me ❤️ my heart is at peace again, after losing my beloved Echo, my first quaker, a couple years ago, and I'm quietly contented to look forward to many, many years with little Billy Boy pooping on my shirts and chewing on my hair 🤣
