Another lovely update from Ashton and Tyler who recently adopted Matt and Melly our senior siblings

“They are doing super well! Loving their food of course and they have been comfortably sleeping in our bed.

Matt at first was only cuddly with Tyler, but he has now been laying with me every day. Melly always stays close and loves to explore our garage hahaha”

If you love friendly smoochy black cats this boy ticks all the boxes. Only 2yo desexed and microchipped.
He needs a name change as he’s certainly not true to the name he was given at the pound - Salem. Hes a true angel and he’s so cute and cheeky too. He loves attention, is quiet and very loving. Purrfect for a family. He gets along with other cats unless they try to bully him but even though he stands his ground he doesn’t get drawn into fights. He loves making biscuits too ❤️

VS Checkers is one of our ex colony cat juniors. I think she is a sibling of VS Voodoo ( now Velvet) as she is the same size and build, coat and face shape to her. She is starting to be quite friendly now and is accepting pats too. Very playful.

Citrine is one of two fluffy gingers we have and the friendliest and longest in care. He can be a bit shy but you will know if you have been chosen as he will come for a smooch.
His coat is medium so will only require a weekly groom to keep it at its best. Good with other cats.

One handsome dude.Javier. He came from a house in Sydney where the owner had passed away and left 8 cats behind. He was the friendliest of the bunch but he takes a little while to get to know you then he relaxes. “Stranger danger”.
He is very sweet and gentle and his coat is easy care despite being medium length. Would suit a quiet indoor home and he is good with other cats too. ❤️

Time patience and lots of love - Purrfect. (Vs Mikey and Vs Peter) ex colony kittens now in their new home.

“I think they’ve settled in quite nicely now… bubbles and fizz.

And the one with the white patch gets carried around morning before daycare day by our 4 year old and is so unbelievably chill. Walks over, flops on his side and requests tummy scratches”.

A post from " Memories" SIX years ago, let that sink in and it still needs repeating in 2026...

ORIGINALLY POSTED IN THE FERAL CAT ALLIANCE

“(These ferals) are not my problem and I shouldn’t have to fix them!”

How many times have we seen this comment from someone complaining about feral cats in their yard?

Raise your hands!! 👋👋

I want to ask these people one question...

“What makes you think WE have to fix them??”

I’ll be crystal clear here.

I NEVER wanted more than two indoor cats.

If you had told me six years ago that I’d be caring for FOURTEEN cats, I would have told you, “no way!”

Then this little Casanova brought his pregnant girlfriend to my yard.

And I honestly didn’t want to “deal with it”.

I had just lost my father. Everything in our house and my life was falling apart. My Penny’s diabetes was unregulated and my Weeny was dying of mast cell cancer.

I am JUST as “busy” as the next person.

But you know what?

SOMEBODY has to care.

These unfixed and unwanted cats and kittens are NO more MY fault than they are YOURS.

I’M not the one who failed to spay or neuter my cat. I have ALWAYS spayed and neutered every pet I’ve ever had as soon as they were old enough.

But someone needs to care.

“Those feral cats” didn’t ask to be turned out when their irresponsible owners moved away and left them behind.

“Those feral cats” didn’t ask to be born under a barn in the wild.

But somebody has to care enough to be a part of the SOLUTION.

So I stepped up.

And I promise you this, if I hadn’t stepped up to help them and break the endless cycle of unwanted kittens, the 14 cats I care for would have been HUNDREDS of cats by now.

If you can’t be a part of the solution, please stop complaining about the problem.

And stop laying blame on these cats and the people who spend THEIR TIME and THEIR MONEY to control the feral population and start placing the blame where it BELONGS...

With the irresponsible pet owners who don’t spay and neuter their pets and then dump the unwanted kittens back in the woods or in a known feral cat colony...

With the backyard breeders...

With the people who take a kitten because it’s cute, fail to fix it, and then “get rid of it” when the novelty wears off or when the cat goes in heat or urine marks...

With those who fail to fix their cats and then move away without their cat, leaving their cat to breed endlessly and fend for herself.

THESE are the people you need to harrass. NOT those who work endlessly and selflessly to fix the problem that SOMEBODY ELSE created.

Enough 🤚

Our darling tuxedo bobtail girl Alexa hasnt had a single enquiry in 2 years. Yet she is so friendly and loves people and everyone here loves her too. She loves to sit on your lap, follow you around and lick you. She even gives love bites. Or shes tasting you 🤣 ( one or the other🤷🏼‍♀️)
Anyway, she does live with others but she would much prefer to have you all to herself❤️
Can you give our girl the forever home she has waited so long for? Her last owners didnt when they abandoned her on the street. ☹️
