🐾 New Changes to Puppy Grooming at Cut & Fluff Boutique 🤍

I’ve made some thoughtful changes to my puppy grooming service to create an even calmer, more personalised experience for the puppies coming through my salon.
A huge thank you to all my wonderful clients who have trusted me with their puppies and helped shape this service along the way.

Puppy grooming is no longer approached as a strict “Session 1” and “Session 2” structure.

Instead, every puppy is now groomed based on their individual comfort level, tolerance, coat development, lifestyle, and transition from puppy coat to adult coat.
Some puppies may feel confident after one introduction session, while others may benefit from a few shorter visits before progressing to a full groom — and that’s completely okay 🤍

This gorgeous pup has just completed their first 2 initial ultrasound teeth cleaning sessions and look at the difference already 👏
The goal with ultrasound teeth cleaning is gentle, stress-free plaque and tartar reduction over time. Results can differ from dog to dog, but it’s amazing watching healthier smiles come through after each session 🪥🐾

Using a high-velocity dryer isn’t just about drying the coat.

It allows us to part the coat right down to the skin — giving us a clear view of what’s really going on underneath.

During every groom, we’re checking for:
• Skin health
• Coat condition & density
• Hidden matting
• Lumps & bumps
• Parasites

These things aren’t always visible at home — especially in thicker or longer coats.

Every groom is also a full body check — not just a haircut.

🐾 Why waiting a little longer between grooms can cause bigger problems later

As your dog’s coat grows, it doesn’t just get longer — it starts to change.

Over time, the coat can begin to knot and tangle, especially in areas where there is more movement like behind the ears, under the legs, and around the collar. Everyday activity creates friction, and those small tangles can quickly tighten into mats.
