A powerful endorsement from the field 🐴

Dr. Matthew Mackee Head Vet of Waikato Stud has been working closely with in-sideout and has seen first-hand the difference it can make across all stages of development, from newborn foals through to yearlings, young horses in preparation, and broodmares through foaling.

Supporting gut health is a foundation piece in setting horses up for success, and it’s been rewarding to see in-sideout contributing to stronger starts, smoother development, and more resilient young stock.

When results are backed by experienced veterinary insight, it speaks volumes.

Winter doesn’t create joint problems... it simply reveals them.

As temperatures drop, it’s common for horses to take a little longer to warm up, feel stiffer after standing in the paddock, or need more time to recover after exercise. While cold weather isn’t the cause of joint issues, it can highlight underlying stiffness or reduced mobility that may have gone unnoticed during warmer months.

This is especially true for:
🐴 Performance horses in regular work
🐴 Horses travelling and competing
🐴 Senior horses enjoying retirement or the slower side of life

This winter, keep an eye out for:
➑️ Warm-Up – Does your horse take longer to loosen up?
➑️ Stiffness – Are they less free-moving after time in the stable or paddock?
➑️ Recovery – Do they seem to need more time to bounce back after exercise?
➑️ Comfort – Are they moving as willingly and comfortably as usual?

Supporting joint health isn’t just about performance, it’s about helping horses stay comfortable and active at every stage of life.

❄️ Cold mornings = stiffer horses!

Winter is here… is your horse feeling it too?

As temperatures drop, many horses can become stiffer through their joints and muscles, especially seniors, performance horses, or those spending more time standing in paddocks.

Here are a few simple ways to help keep your horse comfortable this winter:

βœ”οΈ Allow extra time to warm up before work
βœ”οΈ Encourage regular movement where possible
βœ”οΈ Maintain a healthy body condition
βœ”οΈ Ensure adequate hydration, even on cold days
βœ”οΈ Consider nutritional support for joint health

At EAC, our In-Fusion range is designed to support horses through every season. In-Fusion MSM provides a highly bioavailable source of MSM to support healthy joints and connective tissue, while In-Fusion HA contains Hyaluronic Acid, a key component of healthy joint fluid and cartilage.

Because winter shouldn’t mean slowing down.

What changes do you make to your horse’s routine when the cold weather arrives? πŸ‘‡

This week we are celebrating Australian Made Week with pride and purpose πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ¦˜

At EAC Animal Care, being Australian made reflects how we think, how we formulate and how we show up for your horses every day.

It means local research behind every product. It means careful ingredient selection, created with conditions and lifestyles we understand here in Australia. It means higher standards of safety, quality and accountability because our horses deserve nothing less.

Most importantly, it means trust. When horse owners choose EAC, they are choosing a brand that is close to home and close to the people who care deeply about animal health and wellbeing.
