🚨🐍 Snake season is starting EARLY this year! 🐍🚨

We’ve already been getting a few snake call-outs every week, and it’s only going to get busier from here!

This beautiful little Red-bellied Black Snake was safely relocated from Williamtown to a perfect bushland location just around the corner, where it can live out its life safely—away from people, cars and busy roads. ❤️🌿

As the weather starts warming up, please remember:
❌ Don’t try to catch or kill a snake yourself.
✅ Keep a safe distance and call a licensed professional.

If you’re not sure who to call in your area, give me a ring and I’ll either help you or point you in the direction of your local licensed snake catcher.

We also offer Snake Awareness Talks for schools, workplaces, sporting clubs and community groups. If you’re thinking about booking one before the season gets into full swing, now is the perfect time to lock in a date.

I’ve got a feeling this is going to be a huge snake season. The number of early call-outs is already telling us that things are ramping up fast.

🐍 Happy World Snake Day! 🐍

Today is all about celebrating one of Australia’s most misunderstood animals.

Snakes play a vital role in our environment by helping keep rodent populations under control and maintaining a healthy ecosystem. They don’t go looking for trouble—they simply want to be left alone.

If you come across a snake, the safest thing you can do is:
✅ Stay calm.
✅ Keep a safe distance.
✅ Keep an eye on where it goes if it’s safe to do so.
✅ Call a licensed snake catcher.

We haven’t posted many videos lately, but here’s a small snippet of what we’ve been up to during the cooler months!

We’ve been keeping busy with snake relocations, possum relocations, and delivering our Snake Awareness PowerPoint presentations to local groups and communities.

I’ll be going back through all our footage soon and will start posting more videos, so there’ll be plenty of content for everyone to enjoy and follow along with.

We hope everyone is staying safe as we head further into winter, and we’re already looking forward to the upcoming snake season ahead.

🚨 HEAVY RAIN = INCREASED SNAKE ACTIVITY 🚨

With all the rain we’ve been getting lately, many snakes may be forced to move from their natural habitats as burrows, hollows, and hiding spots become flooded or washed away..

This often pushes snakes to seek higher, drier ground which can unfortunately mean your home, shed, car , garage, woodpile, or outdoor entertaining area..

⚠️ PLEASE DON’T BE A COWBOY! ⚠️

If you come across a snake, do not attempt to catch, harm, or relocate it yourself..

I know I make handling venomous snakes look easy, but what you see is the result of years of experience, and working with the proper equipment .. One mistake around a venomous snake can have serious consequences..

✅ Keep a safe distance..
✅ Keep children and pets away..
✅ Watch where the snake goes if safe to do so..
✅ Call a professional snake catcher..

As the weather continues to change, please stay alert and be mindful when working around your yard, sheds, gardens, and outdoor areas..
