There’s pros and cons to every garden decision. But don’t let perceptions hold you back.

Some things are best directly sown, some do much better being transplanted as a seedling. But do you make your own seedlings?

If you have time and space do it, if you don’t then go buy them from your local store it’s not a big deal.

Magical goodness. If you’re not growing food with compost you’re missing out! A balanced fertiliser, soil nourisher and microbe haven!!

It’s pretty much all I use to get my beds ready for spring planting!

If Somone in your family wants it, your neighbour likes it, it’s a pollinator, it’s a trap crop, it is pretty, you donate it to your local food bank or if the animals in your street like it then please go ahead and grow it.

if you’re growing in a small space and you want to be more intentional about what you eat and grow then think about what you actually like to eat and plant heaps of that.

Not controversial in my opinion.

Get out in the patch this weekend and plant your tomatoes!!

I pack heaps into a garden bed and make sure they are all working with each other. Gonna be an under crop I can tell.

I put the quick growers underneath the tomatoes so they will be well harvested by the time those plants grow too tall.

Small little acts against the big systems that control our lives. Feels like everyday a new article comes out about cost of living, poison in our food or something else bad for us that is done in the name of profit.

Start taking the small steps to rebel. We don’t have to tear it down, just make better choices.
