Coffee is so cute, I might not give him back!

He’s diligently trying to get a little bigger by eating some Critta Care while he’s here. He loves being syringe fed, but he’s the world’s messiest eater, and I was getting covered in it! We tried him eating from a bowl and…success!

(I just discovered that Aldi does two baby foods that are just 95 cents and perfect for piggies when they need to be syringe fed. One is sweet potato flavour, the other pea and spinach. Putting some in their Critta Care makes it extra tasty for them.) Vetafarm (Aust) Pty LTD

Coffee has the best hair I’ve ever seen!

When you’re this cute, you can get away with anything, which is just as well…

He’s having some Critta Care while he’s here, as he’s lost a bit of weight. He thinks it’s the biggest treat and gulps it down greedily, but also extremely messily. I’ve never seen anything like it! I had to change my clothes and shower again after his morning feed!🤣

(Coffee’s brother is also here, but wasn’t in the mood for photos today.)

Yesterday a much healthier, happier Bobby went home to her family.

Her antibiotics are still making her feel horrible, but she’s eating veggies and grass, doesn’t need sub cut fluids any more (yippee from both Bobby and me!) and is generally on the mend.

I’m going to miss this cuddly little girl.

Bobby is relaxing on my coffee table, which has been temporarily transformed into her personal medical facility.

She doesn’t know Allen and me very well, but she’s been an angel when we have to hold her down and stick a needle in her back twice a day to get fluids into her. So far, she’s eating well, but she loves her Critta Care, so I’m still syringe feeding her.

Welcome back to the most troublesome little boarder ever!

Bobby survived her heart and kidneys almost giving up…but not quite! MY heart certainly went into overdrive when I found her collapsed and floppy!

After two days at the vet, she’s back with me, armed with medicine, Critta Care and sub cut fluids. Bobby isn’t overly appreciative of my mediocre skills at getting the fluid into her, but I swear I saw her laugh when I stabbed myself with the needle instead!🤣

Bobby has been staying with me for her holiday. Yesterday she collapsed and I had to rush her to the vet’s. It was very dramatic! She was completely floppy and unresponsive. You could hardly hear her heart. Only her eyelid flickering told me she was still alive.

Against the odds, Bobby has rallied! What a tough little piggy! She’s feeling much better, is eating a bit by herself and there’s even a chance she might be able to come home with me today.

Please send all the good wishes, juju, positive vibes etc to Bobby. Naturally, her family are incredibly upset and it’s such a hard thing for them to deal with when they’re overseas.

Bobby is a darling little piggy. I’m so desperate to hear that she’s stable enough for me to bring her home and cuddle her, until her family get back from their trip.

“Terrorists, bad Russians, dodgy Americans, possibly devious Chinese and police who don’t have a clue what to do…these British dramas are all the same”, said Bobby.
“I’m watching TV with the humans and I can’t handle the tension. I’m going to sn**ch some snacks and hide my face.”

Sorry Bobby, we’ll choose something with a good murder in next time!🤣

Penny and Raven are back for their holiday.

Raven is braver than Penny, who is taking a few days to get used to me. Fortunately their mum gave me a huge bag of parsley for all the piggies, so I’ve been able to entice them out of their hidey!

Holiday camp is exhausting! A day munching hay, grass, veggies, two different types of pellets and vitamin bickies, while relaxing in comfy hideys, really takes it out of a girl!
