Want a well trained puppy? Start with these 5 simple things!

Puppy training doesn’t need to mean long sessions or endless repetition.

The best training happens in everyday moments.

1. Reward what you want to see
Quiet on their bed? Four paws on the floor? Checking in with you? Reward it!

2. Keep it short
A few fun minutes at a time is plenty for a young puppy.

3. Find what motivates them
Food, toys, play, praise or even a good sniff can all be great rewards.

4. Practise everywhere
A perfect “sit” at home might disappear at the park. That’s normal! Slowly add new places and distractions.

5. Train the puppy in front of you
Every puppy learns differently. Go at their pace and celebrate the little wins.

It’s Dental Health Month, and we’re challenging pet parents to take a closer look at their pet’s dental health.

Start with a quick smile check:

Take a look at their teeth and gums. Are there any signs of redness, tartar or broken teeth? 🦷

Check your dental routine. Do you have a pet toothbrush and toothpaste, dental chews, water additive or dental toys at home?

And remember, bad breath, red or bleeding gums, difficulty chewing and excessive tartar can all be signs it’s time for a dental check with your vet.

A few minutes is all it takes to get to know your pet’s smile a little better.
