Account 4545-02937 Operating since 2011, we are a co-operative of volunteer foster carers and passionate animal advocates, working together to achieve our shared vision. We have

a no-kill philosophy, with a focus on finding animals their forever homes through our Foster to Adopt Program. This program is key to our organisation’s success, as it rehabilitates our animals in preparation for their new life. We focus on:
- reducing the number of unwanted and abandoned animals through rehoming
community education
- desexing initiatives, and
- liaising with other welfare organisations

We do this with a direct purpose, which is working towards the introduction of new legislation to give greater protection to all animals. This also serves to provide further direction for other registered rescue organisations. Maggie’s Rescue cares for all our animals through our amazing network of foster carers. They provide a safe and nurturing home for animals in need until their forever home is found.

Bronx's motto? "Take it easy!" 😸
This curious, cuddly boy is all about the simple things in life: toys, cat friends, zoomies around the house, and snuggles with his favourite humans. 💛

Friendly yet independent, Bronx will thrive in a home with plenty of enrichment (cat towers = yes please!) and ideally a feline buddy or two. He's the perfect mix of playful and chilled — zoom, play, nap, repeat! ⚡😴

🏡 Ideal home: Most homes would suit me! I love interactive playtime and would be happiest with another cat friend.
👧 Kids: Best with older children (6+).
🐱 Cats: Absolutely! I'm ready to be everyone's BFF.
🐶 Dogs: Not tested yet.

Meet Agedashi Tofu 🍣🐾

Totally unfazed by the chaos of family life, Agedashi Tofu is the ultimate go-with-the-flow kitten! Currently sharing his foster home with two other kittens and three very loud kids, he absolutely thrives on the mayhem and happily tolerates being carried around in all sorts of creative positions 😹

He's vacuum-proof (yes, really), enjoys a cuddle, but his true passion is zooming, wrestling, and causing tiny kitten-sized chaos with his feline friends.

✨ Microchipped, desexed & vaccinated.

Ideal home: One with plenty of playtime and a cat buddy (or two!). He's currently besties with Juniper and Milo if you're considering a 2-for-1 deal... or even a 3-for-1. Agedashi says dream big. 😸

With a spring in his step and mischief in his amber eyes, Fiddle Leaf is a spotty, stripey ginger boy who believes everything is his business. Whether you're working, cleaning, or relaxing, he'll be supervising closely—ready to launch into your lap or demand a play session.

This little guy is toy-obsessed. Wand toys? Amazing. Balls? Excellent. Packaging from the toys? Even better. Fiddle plays with his whole heart and approaches life the same way: big adventures, big meals, and very big cuddles. Once he's curled up on you, the purrs start rumbling and the biscuit factory opens for business.

Fiddle suffers from a severe case of FOMO and insists on being involved in absolutely everything. He'll follow you from room to room and has even been known to send strongly worded emails ("dddddd[;ldd"). 😹

He'd love a feline friend to share his adventures with and gets along wonderfully with his brother, Toadstool, who is also looking for a home.

When we were searching for foster carers for this gorgeous poodle x labrador boy, the interest came flooding in. Emails, comments and DMs, “I’d adopt him in a heartbeat!”. Now that his adoption applications are actually OPEN? Crickets. 🦗

And, this is exactly why we rely so heavily on foster carers before dogs become available for adoption. So many people want to skip straight to the “gotcha day” part, but fostering is what allows rescue dogs to be properly assessed in a real home environment while getting full medical checks.

Big Bird has proven himself to be an absolute sweetheart. He has a beautiful goofy temperament, thrives with routine, is working on overall confidence and just wants to be included in your life. But he has moderate hip dysplasia and here’s the thing: hip dysplasia management is often far less scary than people assume.

Management simply means:
🐾 Keeping them at a healthy weight
🐾 Regular low-impact exercise like walks and swimming
🐾 Joint supplements or medications if needed
🐾 Avoiding constant jumping on and off furniture
🐾 Soft bedding and non-slip flooring to keep them comfortable

Dogs with hip dysplasia can still live happy, goofy, love-filled lives. Big Bird hasn’t stop deserving a home because life made him a little less “perfect” on paper. 💛 find out more about find by checking out his adoption profile.
