As we move into winter across Australia 🌧️🌾
For many horse owners, hay becomes a much bigger part of the diet through the cooler months, especially as pasture growth slows off.
One thing that often gets overlooked is how important it is to keep hay as dry and protected as possible once it’s fed out. Wet, muddy conditions can quickly lead to spoiled hay, more wastage, and horses refusing parts of their feed.
Every property and setup is different, but a few small changes during winter can help your hay supply last longer and stay cleaner for your horses 😊
