Proud night out for Team Kanikular at the GSDL Show Event 🖤🐾

Kanikular Elon Must and Kanikular Echoes of Egor made their Baby Class debut. We may not have been the flashiest or most seasoned in the ring, but we were the only working-line dogs represented—and we came home with some rather fancy ribbons. Most importantly, both youngsters handled the atmosphere with confidence. Exactly the exposure they needed at this age.

Huge thank you to my son for stepping up to his first double-handling—you did a fantastic job and made me proud.

Kanikular Deevas Dagger (9 months) absolutely nailed her Character Assessment (ZAP-W / WB), especially considering we’d trained none of the exercises in advance (aside from how to play with a ball—obviously!). We even had the memorable moment of a total stranger walking up mid “sudden noise” test to give her a pat while telling us about their own working-line GSDs. She took it all in stride—a standout performance and a big milestone ticked off.

All in all, a successful and enjoyable evening at GSDL. Grateful for the encouragement, guidance, and practical help from so many club members—from both Sydney Dogsport Club and GSDL—you know who you are. Thank you for supporting our working-line dogs and the journey we’re on together.

Week 8 – The Final Diary Chapter from the Crew of Seven

Big last week for the Crew! We got hosed down—proper working-dog style. No fancy bubbles, just a cold rinse and a good shake. Mum said we had to look our best for pickup day. We obliged… then immediately rolled in the dirt again.

We made sure to leave our mark before heading off. Dug up the outdoor plants, rearranged the garden, and supervised absolutely everything. The humans kept saying we were “making memories.” We call it landscaping.

Morning routines stayed the same—door opens, Mum sings “good morning” and hums that Indiana Jones song, and we bolt through the house at full tilt. We thought it was just another day of chaos and adventure. Turns out, it was our last one together.

Then it happened. One by one, our names were called. Ember left first—confident and cool, tail high. Echo followed, already trying to drive the car. Ezekiel strutted out like he’d been planning his exit for weeks. El Diablo paused for one last wrestle. Excalibur gave everyone a final nuzzle before flying off. Emperor took his time, soaking up the attention like royalty. And then there was Elon Must, the last one standing, watching the door close behind the others. He says he’s in charge now (typical).

But the magpie that’s been spying us on for weeks has moved in too – It will keep an eye on Elon. Every crew needs a mascot.

So that’s it for Chapter 1. We came, we chewed, we conquered. Now it’s time for new adventures. Six little legends, all fired in different directions—but always part of the same Crew.

Week 6 – Diary of The Crew of Seven

Big week for the Crew! We went on our first car ride—no sickness, no fuss. Windows down, noses up, all business. The humans said we were going to the vet, which sounded important… and it was.

We got poked, prodded, vaccinated, microchipped, and DNA-swabbed—a full-service experience. We took it all with absolute bravado and even managed to charm the vet team. Apparently, we’re “very good puppies.” We already knew that.

Back home, playtime has gone up a notch. Tugs, balls, wrestling—it’s all part of daily training now. We’re still sorting out who’s the boss, though that title changes by the hour. One moment you’re ruling the yard, the next your toy’s been stolen and you’re demoted. Keeps things lively.

We’ve also invented a new favorite game. When Mum says “follow the feet,” we do—at full sp*ed. But now we’ve discovered that catching the feet is even more fun. Biting ankles, tugging socks, and making holes? Fantastic. Mum doesn’t seem quite as impressed as we are.

Outside, the magpie still visits every day, watching us like some kind of feathery supervisor. We’re determined to catch it. So far… zero success, but plenty of enthusiasm.

We also had our second visit from the nice humans who might become our forever families. They came back, so clearly we did something right the first time. We turned on the charm again—lots of wagging, climbing, kisses, and a few strategically placed puddles.

Six weeks old now—braver, bolder, faster, and quite good at sock modifications. The world’s starting to look like our playground, and we’re just getting started.

Week 5 – Diary of The Crew of Seven

The world just keeps getting bigger—and so do we.

We run faster, play harder, and eat with slightly less chaos (though Mum still calls it “a contact sport”). Our legs actually listen to us now—mostly. We’ve mastered “follow the legs,” which really means “overtake the legs” and turn the path into a moving obstacle course. Mum says it’s like walking through a live minefield. We call it team participation.

We discovered the vast plains of grass! Soft, green, and apparently edible. We’ve decided eating it is part of being outdoorsy. We’re also really getting into toys—especially stealing them from each other. The rule is simple: win it, run away, and don’t look back.

We noticed flying animals up in the sky—humans call them “birds.” We call them mysterious sky snacks. Still working out how to reach them.

We also met Diva. She’s six months old and, according to Mum, a “big puppy.” We met her through the crate. She was thrilled to see us but frustrated she couldn’t join in. She barked and wagged; we tried to play back—completely unfazed by the noise. Confident? Absolutely. Boundaries? Not our strong point.

And then, the biggest event of all: visitors! Mum said they might be our “forever homes.” We did our best to impress—wagged, tumbled, cuddled, and offered fresh p*e puddles to step in. Generosity is important.

The world keeps getting bigger, louder, and full of surprises—and we’re loving every bit of it. We’re five weeks old, and every day feels like a new adventure waiting to be chewed on.

Week 4 – Diary of the Crew of Seven

Big week. Huge, actually.

We discovered a room next door. It’s like our place but bigger, smells different, and—get this—had corners we hadn’t licked yet. That’s now been fixed.

We started eating plants. Not sure why, but they looked interesting. Some taste okay, some taste like dirt. We’re pretending we’re wild wolves, so that’s fine.

Running—well. Our eyes go one way, our legs another. The humans call it “trying to run.” We call it chaos with style. Toys have appeared, too. We like them, but it’s way more fun to steal them from each other. Roughhousing has officially become our main hobby.

And then—drumroll—OUTSIDE. Sunshine! Dirt! Rocks! A thousand smells all shouting sniff me immediately! It’s loud, bright, and amazing. We got to dig, roll, chew, and generally be legends.

Eating is still a try-and-error disaster. We wear more than we swallow. We think we’re doing great. Humans call us Dirt Bags. Our human Mum says what comes out the other end is a “Sh*tty Affair.” We call it… modern art.

All in all—life’s good. We’re four weeks old and unstoppable.

Week 3 - Straight from the Crew of 7 🐾

👋 Hi world, it’s us!
This week we discovered there’s actually life outside the whelping box. Who knew? It’s huge out there (okay, it’s just next door to the whelping box, but to us it’s basically an adventure park).💕

🍼 We also tried this new thing called “food.” It smells a bit like the milk bar, but trust us… it is NOT the same. Some of us licked it, some of us wore it, and one of us invented the “face plant and slurp” technique. We think it might catch on.

Oh, and apparently we needed something called worming. Don’t ask us why — all we know is it doesn’t taste half as good as stepping in the food bowl.

Walking is still a bit wobbly, but we’re getting faster, braver, and noisier every day. Mum says we’re a handful. We say we’re just getting started. 😉

Whole New World at Week Two

The morning wiggle-race has officially become rush hour!

The Crew of Seven have hit their two-week milestone, and suddenly the whelping box feels like a whole new universe.

Tiny eyes have blinked open, revealing curious little explorers who now wobble around on their brand-new “puppy legs.” Each triumphant stumble toward the milk bar is met with tail wags so fierce you’d think they might take flight.

Voices are growing louder too—little squeaks and grumbles filling the air like puppy chatter. We’ve even had a couple of p*e-pad victories (genius level unlocked!). And in true adventurer fashion, Mr Red staged the first great escape, crawling out of the whelping box in his quest to reach Mama Circei.

What adventures will Week Three bring? We can’t wait to find out.

Two of the males are still looking for their forever home on November 5th. Jump onto our website and fill out our questionnaire if you are looking for a healthy, temperament-sound dog from proven working parents.

The Breakfast of Champions | The milkbar is officially open!

Watching the Crew of Seven's mad dash of wiggles, crawls, and shuffles across the whelping box for some breakfast is a sight as delightful as watching the sunrise. It's a busy job that they take very seriously.

We are excited about the variety in this litter: one gorgeous black pup, two striking bi-colors, and four beautiful sables. Mama Circei is a champion, and her 6 boys and 1 girl are growing bigger and stronger every day. Happy 10 days old, little ones!
