Hi Everyone,
We wanted to send an update and thank you for your patience over the past few weeks.
Unfortunately, life has thrown a few unexpected challenges our way recently. Sonya has been knocked back twice by severe migraines and then followed up with a particularly frustrating flu. At the same time, we were dealing with the stress of three leather orders not arriving when expected, which created delays in getting customer orders completed and dispatched on time.
Like many small business owners, we juggle Leather Works 4 Dogs alongside our full-time jobs, and the combination of long hours, seven-day work weeks, and the pressure of trying to keep everything moving eventually caught up with us both physically and mentally. We reached a point where we needed to step back briefly, regain some balance, and spend some much-needed time with our own dogs and family.
Many of you will understand that sometimes there's nothing better for the soul than spending quality time with your dogs. Sonya spent last weekend competing in Treibball with one of our dogs, and afterwards both dog and handler came home exhausted but refreshed. Sometimes we all just need a little dog time.
On top of everything else, our daughter is getting married in just three weeks, so there are plenty of family preparations happening behind the scenes as well.
This weekend we will be working through all outstanding emails and messages. If you are waiting on an order, we will be contacting you to confirm whether you would still like to proceed or if you would prefer to cancel.
For clubs and organisations seeking sponsorship, please don't be offended if we are unable to assist at this time. We genuinely love supporting clubs and events, particularly those where our customers are involved, but unfortunately our capacity is limited right now. There will always be opportunities again in the future.
At the end of the day, we are only human. Sometimes our bodies and minds remind us that we need to slow down and take care of ourselves so that we can continue doing what we love.
Thank you all for your understanding, support, and kindness. We truly appreciate every one of our customers and the wonderful dog community that surrounds us.
