Sometimes you just need to take a break, the best part about koi keeping is their ability to calm you watching them,
keeping koi over 30 years this is well known trust me,
a bit of a backstory, I have been keeping regular koi all of my life & showing them in prestigious koi shows.
Over the past 4 years really, I have made the move to longfin koi, seeing a niche market for quality ones, which were basically unseen in Australia.
All of the fish had long stragely fins, small heads and small body shape and generally grew to about 50cm max.
Since then I have used my knowledge on koi keeping & breeding and through careful selection of a very select few parent fish we have created what we have, large bodies, huge heads and fins and the ability to grow past 70cm with ease,
breeding and growing koi is no easy task, hundreds of thousands of fish you get a few that are exceptional.
its all about that 1% and becoming better every year.
we are keen to show you what we produce in the coming years at Next Level Aquatics.
