“Harry and Max, ultimate trendsetters in matching red rugs, setting the standard in paddock activewear at Heartland. Max has road-tested them (roll-tested, actually) and confirms they’re reliable, comfortable and totally dirt-proof. 🐴✨”

Learning all the grown-up things! 🐴

Our yearling is getting some important life lessons, including learning to calmly pick up his feet and stand patiently in preparation for his farrier trims.

It's all about building trust, confidence and good habits from a young age. Little steps now make a big difference as they grow.

Such a good boy!

BREEDING SPOTLIGHT | REVOLUTION MJL (NZ)
Meet Lucy, our beautiful grey purebred Lusitano mare and a valued part of the breeding program at Heartland.
Born in New Zealand in 2020, Lucy boasts an impressive pedigree with strong Portuguese bloodlines. Sired by Jade, a son of the renowned Danúbio, and out of Fernandina MCL, her ancestry includes established Lusitano bloodlines such as Zimbro II, Oferta, Justiceiro II and Huilco.
Lucy is registered with the Portuguese Lusitano Studbook (APSL), where she achieved a studbook approval score of 70 points, reflecting her assessment against the breed's conformation and movement standards.
In early September, Lucy welcomed a beautiful buckskin c**t by Lider Severn, marking an exciting new chapter in her breeding journey and adding another promising young Lusitano to the Heartland family.
With her distinguished Portuguese heritage and exciting new arrival, Lucy represents everything we value in our breeding program: preserving exceptional bloodlines and thoughtfully breeding the next generation of Lusitanos.

Introducing Zesty Martini Heart 🐴🤎
Another very special arrival at Heartland!
On Sunday 11 October, we welcomed a beautiful buckskin Lusitano filly into the world, arriving on schedule and stealing our hearts from the very first moment.
Our wonderful recipient mare, Matilda, did an incredible job bringing this little girl into the world and has taken to motherhood beautifully. We couldn't have asked for a more loving and attentive mum.
By the magnificent Lusitano stallion Lider Seven, out of our Lusitano mare MCL O'ahn, this precious little girl is already showing plenty of personality and charm.
And now, we're delighted to officially introduce her as…
ZESTY MARTINI HEART 🍸✨
A little bit of zest, a whole lot of sweetness, and a very special new chapter for Heartland.
Welcome to the world, beautiful girl. We can't wait to watch you grow. 🤎
