Please make sure your babies are up to date with Tick prevention. It’s going to be a very bad season. Please keep our baby Kica in your thoughts.

**Update - Sadly Kica passed away late last night. We are absolutely heartbroken as is her family who was preparing to welcome her home on Friday 😭

I’m really not one to make a post like this, but tonight I’m asking everyone to please send some very special positive thoughts, prayers and healing vibes our way. ❤️

Early this morning we noticed that something just wasn’t right with our baby Kica. That horrible feeling when you know one of your babies isn’t themselves is something no person wants to experience.

We took her straight to the vet and they began investigating. Around lunchtime they found the culprit… a tick. 💔

Kica was given the tick serum and monitored closely throughout the day. Thankfully, she was able to come home with me when the vets closed, where she will be under my very close watch overnight.

Right now, we’re taking things hour by hour and just praying that she continues to improve. She is such a beautiful, outgoing, precious little girl ❤️

So tonight, if you could spare a thought for our little Kica, please send her all the strength, healing and positive energy you possibly can.

‼️HEATWAVE WARNING THIS SATURDAY‼️

As heat increases this weekend so does the risk for heat stress and heatstroke in your pets! Which is life threatening and urgent veterinary care is required. We are open from 9am - 12pm.

Please contact your closest clinic after 12pm if your pet requires immediate medical attention at this time.

Please keep pets indoors where possible and ensure access to fresh drinking water.

You can also add ice cubes to water bowls.

Ensure they have access to a covered area when outside.

Signs of heat stress / heatstroke include:
🔥 Excessive panting
🔥 Excessive drooling
🔥 Bright red or pale gums
🔥 Difficulty breathing
🔥 Restlessness

If it’s too hot for bare feet, it’s too hot for your pets paws! 🐾🐾

Hannah has been working so hard on improving her skipping skills ahead of August 26th – the official Jump Rope for Heart day.

Today she was recognised at school for all her effort, and just look at her little face beaming with pride holding her award 🥹💖.

We’re honestly overwhelmed by the generosity and support so far in helping Hannah on her journey to become a Heart Hero. There’s still time to help – right up until the 26th of August.
