UPDATE: 4 bookings taken.

Going to try something new and see if it helps people who have been waiting for me to have some rat babies available for quite a while. I have a few litters that will be ready to go in 4 weeks. I’m going to open up a waitlist for 10 people only. You will be required to have an approved adoption form already filled out and pay a $50 deposit to get on the list and choosing babies will be in the order that everything is completed. I’m hoping that by doing this, those people serious about wanting babies from me will have a guaranteed appointment for these coming litters only.

If you want to adopt from us you will need to have the following:
- For rats you will need a suitable metal cage set up ready to go. Our minimum requirements for cages are that they are at least 80cm wide x 50cm deep x 60cm high, have bar spacing no bigger than 1.5cm (unless meshed) and have a deep base of at least 10cm for bedding (wood shavings, h**p bedding or paper kitty litter pellets).
- At least 2 water sources
- A complete feed that will be available to them 24/7. We recommend Vetafarm Origins, Lauke, Vella or Science Selective.
- Multiple hidey places. Plastic Hides, tunnels, hammocks, baskets, pipes, cardboard boxes etc.
- Nesting material. Can be shredded paper, Rhodes grass hay, paper towels, unscented toilet paper, shredded cardboard. Fall breakers throughout the cage if tall.
- Be prepared to buy a minimum of 2 rats or mice. They need others for company and socialization and even if you have older animals, babies should always have same age company. Although not compulsory, we find 4 to be the magic number. Please ask if you would like more info. Please do not ask to buy a single rat, the answer will be no.
