Today is the last day of my 40's.
I've spent some time this morning, reflecting on all the things that have happened in the last decade.
Covid.
My own health issues. Mould illness - the illness that was missed by the medical profession. Originally misdiagnosed, it landed me in a psych hospital I should never have been in, and put on drugs I should never have been on.
A 2 year prescription drug withdrawal. A hell ride I never thought I'd get through, hidden behind closed doors.
A move to the Sunshine Coast.
A long road to recovery.
A best selling book.
The heart breaking moments of saying "goodbye" to three amazing dogs in 18 months.
The joyful moment of bringing Floyd into our lives.
Meeting so many people who feel less like friends and more like family.
And this year - training (and completing) my first 50km ultramarathon (notice how I said "first" 🤪).
My 40's brought with it courage, strength, joy, sadness, success, failure, resilience and everything in between.
And it's all happened perfectly to prepare me for what I know is going to be the most powerful, most spectacular, most abundant, most exquisite part to come.
Bring it on 💪❤️🌸
