Right idea, just the wrong type of tree 💁🏼‍♀️ This mildly venomous Brown Tree Snake found its way inside a house in Buderim….And then just as its name suggests it hid… in a tree!

Nature is metal!

One of our resident Kookaburras brought another meal to show off to us. Last time it was a venomous snake and this time it’s a young Eastern Water Dragon 😳

The Kookaburra even has a rocking mullet 🤘

That’s not a power cable! 🐍

This carpet python was seen heading under the house by a homeowner in Hunchy. With two small Dachshunds running around the yard and for their peace of mind, the snake was relocated to a safer place for all 🫶🏻🐍

Happy to report that the beautiful old python that was covered in ticks last week been released in good health, after a thorough check by the vets at Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. No fungal disease, or underlying infections thankfully… just an old beauty that’s seen some life and is ready for another summer 🫶🏻🐍

Spring time means love is in the air 😍 At this time of year you might get to witness males combatting for a female, or a mating pair just hanging out 🐍🐍

If mating is successful a gravid (pregnant) carpet python has a gestation period of about 30 to 45 days until she lays the eggs, followed by a 50- to 70-day incubation period before hatching!

Snake in the Lego room… or Lego in the snake room?!

This 2.5m carpet python was really attached to the Star Wars Lego sets! It had made its ways in through an open door and found a cosy spot to spend the night in the Lego room, and wasn’t keen on leaving!

Even though they don’t have external ears, I still like to think the snakes hear me…Just a quick chat with this python before heading to the vet.
