🚨🐟 ARE YOU AGAINST USING COLOUR-ENHANCING FISH FOODS? 🎨❌
There’s actually a reason so many aquarium hobbyists have a strong opinion on colour foods — even when the full story behind astaxanthin isn’t widely understood. 👀🧬
And, to our knowledge, this is one of the first times this information has really been laid out for aquarium hobbyists. 👇👇👇
🔴 THE ISSUE ISN’T ASTAXANTHIN ITSELF.
The big difference is where it comes from. 🌿🆚🧪
Synthetic astaxanthin has a different molecular configuration to naturally occurring astaxanthin. 🧬🔄
That difference matters because astaxanthin has to be transported from the liver by lipoproteins 🚚🩸 before it can reach the chromatophores responsible for visible colour.
With synthetic astaxanthin:
🧪 Only around 7% can effectively associate with these transport systems.
📉 Only a small percentage reaches the intended colour pigments.
🫀 Much of the remainder is left to be processed and broken down through the liver.
And THAT is why traditional colour-feeding programs are commonly cycled. ⏱️
👉 Feed for a period.
👉 Stop.
👉 Give the liver time to process the accumulated material.
👉 Then begin again.
🤯 But what if you didn’t need the 2-week colour-food cycle?
🌿🐟 AquaMunch Super Colour uses natural astaxanthin sources — with NO synthetic astaxanthin sources.
That means Super Colour is designed as a long-term diet, not simply a short-term colour booster. ✅🎨🐠
Natural astaxanthin costs dramatically more — but when we formulate fish food, we believe the biological source matters. 💰➡️🧬
It’s one of the reasons SALMON 🐟🧡 sits at the foundation of AquaMunch instead of relying on cheaper white-flesh fish meals.
🔥 COLOUR ISN’T MAGIC. IT’S BIOCHEMISTRY.
And over the next few posts, we’re going to show you exactly how it works. 🔬🧬🎨🐟
