Last Sunday, we welcomed 19 local veterinarians to SCEH for an afternoon of learning, discussion and shared knowledge. 🐴

Drs. Tias, Bridget and Brianna presented on surgical conditions of the postpartum broodmare, the sick neonate foal and surgery of the neonate foal.

We love creating opportunities to connect, learn and continue advancing equine care across our veterinary community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and huge thank you to our sponsors Randlab Bova Aus ZebraVet! 👏

First dental visit = a total win for Maverick 🐴🦷✨

What should be a simple, seamless visit was exactly that — with Maverick in the best hands with our vets and vet nurses.

With experienced vets like Dr Tias and a thorough veterinary exam we were also able to pick up a problem with one of Maverick’s teeth that may otherwise have gone unnoticed.

He had a great time with the team and is already looking forward to his next visit! 💙

Some patients leave a little hoofprint on your heart… 🤍

Alaska certainly did.

From the moment she arrived at SCEH, this tiny girl stole our hearts — and we couldn't be happier to see her back, growing, gaining weight and showing us plenty of her cheeky personality!

A huge shout-out to her incredibly dedicated owners for all the love and care they've given her along the way.

We’re so pleased to see you doing so well, Alaska 🤍

Our latest SCEH newsletter is out!

This month we’re sharing a few of the interesting cases we’ve managed at Sunshine Coast Equine Hospital, including a serious case of colitis, a mare undergoing standing laparoscopic ovariectomy, and an emergency eyelid laceration.

From medical emergencies to specialised surgery, every case has something to teach us about our horses and their health.
