After over a year away from competing, it was so special to finally attend another show with my team of just one this time! 🤍

This show was extra special as it was my first time bringing my very first homebred foal, Luna, out into the show ring. It was her first time experiencing absolutely everything — clipping, travelling solo, attending a show, running in a ring and learning to stand with a judge around — and she absolutely blitzed it! I couldn’t be more proud of my little girl. 🥹✨

It was also my first show without Mum (Shelly Tomé), which was certainly an eye-opener for many different reasons, but mainly I just missed having my buddy.

While I had an amazing experience with Luna, this show also made me stop and appreciate just how special the old show days were — the atmosphere, the friendships, the support and the positivity that seemed to come with them just isn’t the same now.

Regardless, I’m so incredibly proud of how Luna handled her first outing and excited to see where this little homebred girl takes us next. 🤍🐴

Thank you to Amanda Willemse for lending me your float on such short notice to help get me to the show, since I wasn’t able to pick up mine in time. 🫶🏼

Thank you to Courtney Leddy & Ellah Horstman for helping with clipping Luna on arrival and preparation across the day, as I also didn’t have the gear at this time.

I think “Luna” thinks she’s a showjumper… 🤣

She’s loving some time in the sun!

This brings me back to memory lane just when I first met “Ahna” when she was a bub back in 2015.

Now it’s onto the next generation and I can share this wonderful moment with Ahna as a mummy to her litte girl — “Luna”🥹❤️

It is always nice seeing both the full brothers together!

Blake Coomber was showing Winston
While i was showing Cozzie

The judge did get a bit confused, at one point.
Which definitely made me crack up after I informed her it was Winston who lives past the borders of QLD. 😂

Like to say thanks to Blake Coomber for assisting with clipping preparations after my clippers got flooded, as well as Carmel Thomas for letting me borrow yours when we arrived at the grounds for touch ups. ☺️

Shelly Tomé for being my number one strapper and support. ❤️

The committee of ASEA Tiffany Jayne Granger and Danielle Cotton for putting on a great show!

I absolutely adore my garland that I achieved, and this has been a huge dream come true of mine now I will cherish this memory. 🥰

And to everyone who we met over the weekend, I congratulate everyone on their achievements and I look forward to the new year with a fresh show season!

ASEA State Show 🏆

We recently attended our first state show for this year after having such a long time off and unfortunately missing the others we usually attend earlier in the year.

But we made it to this one! And it was a great weekend away.

Took a team of two, both “Ahna” and “Cozzie” did very well over the two days and it was lovely for Cozzie to see his full brother Winston again!

As I sort out some results and photos here’s just a little highlight of the brothers reunited once again, after a year. 🥰
