Meet the staff Monday! 💙

As most of you may know this is Melissa, our amazing team leader here at Northside Vet Care. Mel started her vet nursing career in a large practice in Rockhampton in 2010. She joined the team at Northside Vet Care in 2013 after moving south to call brisbane home. 🏠

Mel then went on and completed her Cert IV in veterinary nursing in 2014. And since 2022 Mel has been a very dedicated team leader, bringing strong leadership, a calm presence, and a highly organised approach to the clinic. 🐾

Mel brings great knowledge and help to every single person who walks through the door, whether they’re an owner, pet or staff member. ❤️‍🩹

Mel’s favourite thing about being a vet nurse is surgery nursing and patient care. Our hospitalised patients benefit from the time and meticulous attention to detail Mel gives to their medical care and rehabilitation. 🐶🐈

A few days ago poor Pickle came to see us after tearing one of her nails - and while it looked quite sore, she was very brave throughout her visit 🐶💙

Our vet Jo cleaned up the injury, treated the nail, and bandaged her little leg to help keep her comfortable while she heals.

Once her nail was feeling a little better, Pickles happily soaked up plenty of cuddles from Chamara before she was greeted again by her very caring mother who brought her in ❤️‍🩹

Wishing this sweet girl a speedy recovery and lots of cuddles at home!

It’s not every day we get to see a Guinea pig here in the clinic, but today was our lucky day!

Roo the guinea pig popped in for a quick nail trim today 🐹. He came in with his brother Rabbit (who wasn’t a massive fan of the camera action like Roo is). 🐾

Keeping those tiny nails neat and tidy helps prevent discomfort and keeps little paws healthy 💙 Roo and Rabbit were absolutes super stars for their visit today ✨🐾
