💗🩺 HAPPY INTERNATIONAL VET NURSES DAY! 🩺💗

Today we're celebrating the absolute legends who keep Stanthorpe Vet Care running! 🐾❤️

To our incredible team of nurses – we honestly don't know what we'd do without you! Our vets (and the entire clinic!) wouldn't run nearly half as smoothly without all your hard work, dedication, patience and endless support.

You're the glue that holds us all together – most days, quite literally! 😂 From juggling a million jobs at once, keeping our vets in line, comforting our patients and somehow knowing where EVERYTHING is, you really are the heart and soul of our clinic. ❤️

We are so incredibly lucky to have such an amazing team, and we appreciate everything you do, even when we forget to say it during the daily chaos!

And as for the cartoon group photo… well, we figured it was our only chance of getting you all in one place at the same time, because you're usually too busy running around looking after everyone else!

We couldn't do it without you, and we wouldn't want to!

Lots of love and appreciation from your very grateful (and occasionally needy) vets and the whole Stanthorpe Vet Care team!

Please leave them all some LOOOOVE in the comments.

🚨 LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THIS SUCKER! 🚨

This absolute monster of a paralysis tick was recently removed — and that 5 - cent coin is there for scale! 😳🕷️

And this is exactly why we’re sounding the alarm about ticks right now.

We’ve seen an alarming number of ticks this week, including in areas around Stanthorpe where ticks have traditionally not been a problem. They’re turning up in new properties and locations that have never experienced tick issues before.

⚠️ Please don’t assume your property is tick-free just because you’ve never had a problem before.
Ticks can be there now — even if you’ve never seen one previously.

The scary part? Paralysis ticks can be deadly. They can cause weakness, breathing difficulties, paralysis and, without rapid treatment, can be fatal.

🕷️ Check your pets daily.
🕷️ Use reliable tick prevention.
🕷️ Know the signs of tick paralysis.
🕷️ If you find a tick, don’t wait for symptoms to appear.

Tick paralysis is preventable. Prevention could save your pet’s life. ❤️

📞 If you’re unsure whether your pet’s current tick protection is enough, give Stanthorpe Vet Care a call on (07) 4681 1523.
