Beautiful Pippa is a much-loved member of our Planet K9 SupPAWt Squad, and she is very definitely part of our Social Squad — dogs who live for pats, cuddles and human interaction!
Once a month, Pippa and Kate join the rest of the team for our morning teas with the residents of Wintringham at Spotswood-Kingsville RSL. Pippa brings the smiles and Kate brings the great conversation! Together they make a pretty wonderful team and bring so much warmth and happiness to our mornings.
Kate is a recently retired nurse, and she and Pippa are now taking their therapy work even further. They are training with Lort Smith to become part of their pet therapy program, with the goal of visiting aged-care residents together each week. We think they are absolutely made for it. ❤️
Pippa is also a very clever girl! This week she graduates from Agility 3 at Planet K9, and next up she is joining K9 Allsports. There she’ll keep practising her agility skills while also learning some super-cool interactive tricks and scent games that Kate can incorporate into Pippa’s therapy and Social Squad work.
We love seeing our dogs use their training out in the wider community, and we are so proud to have Kate & Pippa as part of our SupPAWt Squad.
Keep spreading those smiles, Pippa! 🥰🐾🐾

Meet Frank! ❤️🐾
Frank is a gorgeous energetic JRT x Heeler who was recently adopted by Tim and Helen — and he is now absolutely loving his best life.
Tim and Helen got Frank straight into training, and he has already completed his Basic Manners course. Now he’s moved on to agility, where he is starting to be off leash, learning new skills and having an absolute ball.
There’s something pretty special about watching a newly adopted dog settle into their new life, build confidence and discover just how much fun there is to be had.
Frank has certainly landed on his paws and we’re loving having this little superstar as part of the Planet K9 gang.

🐾💙 Pawgust with Nala! 💙🐾

Nala is proudly wearing her Pawgust bandana as she and Peter take on the challenge of walking to support Guide Dogs Victoria! 🦮💙

Nala is a happy, waggly, sniffy and very cheeky ex-police sniffer dog who is always up for an adventure.

Nala was purposefully placed with retired Detective Sergeant & Spotswood - Kingsville RSL President Peter Bellion through the Purposeful Placement Program, which matches retired police dogs with veterans diagnosed with PTSD.

And if you know Nala, you’ll know she takes her walking responsibilities VERY seriously. 😂 We’re pretty sure she walks 100 km a day with all the zoomies and random searches (mostly sniffing out twisties these days)

Big cheers for Kelly & Dotty! ❤️🐾
Dotty is a 2-year-old Border Collie mix who started agility with us about six months ago — and what a journey she has been on!
When Dotty first came to class she was extremely nervous. So nervous, in fact, that I couldn’t even stand near her. She worried about noises, the wind, unfamiliar people, her collar and leash… pretty much everything about the training environment felt like a lot.
But Kelly never rushed her. With time, patience and lots of encouragement, Dotty gradually became familiar with the training space and started to realise that this agility business could actually be pretty good fun.
And then she fell in love with a super social little party guy called Louie — a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and possibly the most unlikely best friend for a worried Border Collie mix. The odd couple! 😂❤️
These days Dotty LOVES her agility, loves seeing her friends and has become so much more confident. She even has her very own agility team now with team mates Nestor the sporty Cavoodle, Lucy Lou the cwazy happy staffy and of course Louie.!
Watching dogs grow in confidence is one of my favourite parts of training, and Dotty has come such a long way.
GO DOTTY! 🎉🐾 And a huge cheer for Kelly for giving her all the time and support she needed to get there. ❤️

Week 4 of our Planet K9 Winter Games and today we ran our Short Course Agility Teams Competition!
What an absolute blast!
12 dogs, their humans, lots of cheering, plenty of laughs and everyone encouraging every dog and team around the course.
This is what I love about Planet K9 — people having fun with their dogs, celebrating each other's successes and working together as a team.
I absolutely love this group and the wonderful spirit they bring to our Winter Games.
One more week to go — and we’re looking forward to even more fun with our Winter Games teams next Sunday! 🐾🏆
