Frankie and Lacey competed at the HDTC Scentwork Trial this weekend — and what a weekend it was 🐾✨

Both girls had an incredibly successful (and fun!) time out there.

Lacey did exceptionally well, passing and placing in her Advanced Interior search — such a fantastic effort 👏

And little Frankie… what a debut! She passed all four novice elements at her very first trial, completely exceeding every expectation. To top it off, she brought home 1st and 2nd place in her vehicle and container searches 🎉

So proud of these two and the way they showed up 💛

I get asked a lot when I’ll start trialling my younger dog, Frankie…

And the honest answer is — not yet.

Because what you don’t see matters more than what you do.

So while it might look like we’re “not there yet”…
We’re actually exactly where we need to be.

Because when the nervous system is ready — everything else comes together faster, cleaner, and with far more confidence.

You’re Not Training a Dog. You’re Shaping a Nervous System.

Most agility problems don’t start in the ring. They start months earlier...In how your dog experiences:

• excitement
• frustration
• waiting
• repetition
• recovery

A fast dog with poor regulation doesn’t become reliable.
They become brittle.

Before speed…
Before skills…
Before sequences…

There is a nervous system; and how that develops determines everything that follows.

Assistance dogs come in all shapes and sizes—and this little guy has just proven exactly that 💫

Huge congratulations to Aleesha and Dom on passing your PAT! Your connection, dedication, and resilience truly set the bar. It’s been an absolute joy watching your journey and working alongside you both.

Huge congratulations to my incredible teams who wrapped up their foundation agility course today! 🎉🐾

Over the past 8 weeks, they’ve put in so much effort building focus, drive, obstacle commitment, and handling skills — all while keeping it fun and rewarding for their dogs.

It’s been such a joy watching each team grow in confidence, develop their partnership, and make consistent progress every single week. I’m so proud of you all and can’t wait to see where your agility journey takes you next! 💪✨

My special girl Lacey had the most exciting weekend competing at the CPAT agility trial in Westbury!

We had some fantastic runs, a few close calls, and yes… a couple of “handler errors” where I completely forgot the course 😅

But the highlight of the weekend — and something I’m so incredibly proud of — was earning our Jumping Champion title! 💛

Such a special milestone with an even more special girl. Thank you for coming along on this wild ride with me, Lace 🤍
