This handsome young boy was found in the Mt White area running around the roads.
Kind member of the public came to the clinic to check microchip - he is not microchipped.

He has been taken to the council pound at Erina

If you know the owner please let them know where he is.

AVIAN CONSULTS UPDATE

Due to the evolving Avian Influenza situation we have had to make some changes to how we see birds. These changes are to ensure that we can continue to operate and treat all our beloved feathered pets and wildlife.

Where possible we will do telemedicine appointments in order to minimise risk to our patients.

If we need to see you in person, we request that you:
- call on arrival to the carpark
- remain in your car with your bird
- ensure your bird is in a secure travel container

If you require an appointment for a pet bird, or if you have found an injured wild bird, please call our reception and they will work with you to decide the best plan of action.

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we try to navigate this in the best way we can to ensure all animals are taken care of ❤️

⚠️ Important Bird Flu (Avian Influenza) Update 🦜

Due to the current concerns surrounding avian influenza (bird flu), Somersby Animal Hospital is taking extra precautions to protect our patients, clients and staff.

If your bird is unwell, please do not bring it into the clinic. Instead, give us a call first.

We will arrange a phone consultation with one of our veterinarians to discuss your bird’s symptoms and determine the most appropriate next steps. This allows us to provide advice while maintaining strict biosecurity measures.

Please do not handle sick or dead wild birds

This year, Somersby Animal Hospital proudly celebrates 10 years of caring for the animals and families in our community.

Over the past decade, we’ve had the privilege of treating not only dogs and cats, but also birds, reptiles, pocket pets, horses, livestock, and many other beloved companions. Every patient, no matter how big or small, feathered, furry, or scaled, has been part of our journey.
