After several hours of a challenging dystocia, this lovely ewe finally welcomed her little lamb into the world! 🐑✨

Dr Jessica was by her side throughout the process, helping mum and baby through this challenging birth. Now, both need some well-deserved rest and recovery! ❤️🩺

🐾🩷 HAPPY VET NURSE DAY 2026! 🩷🐾

Today is all about celebrating our amazing nursing team here at Somersby Animal Hospital!

We really are so lucky to have such a wonderful bunch of nurses who work incredibly hard every day to make sure our patients receive the best possible care.

From dogs and cats to horses, livestock, wildlife and everything in between — there’s certainly never a dull moment around here! 😂🐾

It’s not always an easy job. There are long days, stressful moments, plenty of laughs and sometimes a few tears, but one thing that never changes is the love and dedication our nurses have for their patients.

To our beautiful nursing team, thank you for everything you do, not only for our patients but for each other. ❤️

We appreciate you all more than you know!

Milly’s little testimonial ❤️

“Hi, I’m Milly! I came to see Dr Worley after dislocating my elbow. I was a little scared and very sore, but Dr Worley took such good care of me. 🥺❤️

With his help and the care and support from the nursing team, keeping me comfortable and giving me lots of cuddles, I’m now feeling much better and happily on my way to recovery.

I still have a little way to go, but I know I’m in good hands. 🐾

TICKS DON’T TAKE THE YEAR OFF! 🐾

Ticks aren’t just a summer problem — paralysis ticks can pose a risk all year round, so keeping your pet’s prevention up to date is so important.

• Keep tick prevention up to date year-round
• Regularly check your pet for ticks
• Know the signs — weakness, wobbliness, vomiting, changes in bark/meow or difficulty breathing

This handsome young boy was found in the Mt White area running around the roads.
Kind member of the public came to the clinic to check microchip - he is not microchipped.

He has been taken to the council pound at Erina

If you know the owner please let them know where he is.
