Come on guys.... Surely there's someone out there looking for a serious eventer?!

This mare hasn't sold because her jump is just SO big and powerful! She needs a serious rider with big ambitions who wants to take her to 3* and beyond. 🔥

Not many young eventers come with 3 years of professional flatwork education under their belt, plus a zillion outings all over the countryside.

So many green flags with this one. Just need to find the rider who wants ALL that horsepower! 🚀

Exhibit B: The velociraptors have breached the house.

We found a deposit in the bathroom.

It was not the kind we were hoping for.

We are learning to close doors. 😂

Exhibit A: Idiotic feathered velociraptor.

Presented with perfectly good nesting boxes.
Chooses bucket.

We have 12 of these freeloading jerks and somehow manage to get about one egg a week for ourselves.

Local crow population: delighted.
Humans who actually pay for the chicken feed: less so.

WELCOME TO TEAM PATCHWORK

“Patchwork Mr De Luxe” (Sterling)
Born 2/10/2026
Palomino GRP c**t, with four white stockings and this beautiful blaze...the front stockings even extend up behind the knee!
Sire: Mr Right Now IMP
Dam: Bonsai Maple Leaf (Cheval De Luxe) Elite Classified ACE Mare

He should mature under height, making him a very exciting prospect for pony dressage.

After a week of studying the mare closely, staying vigilant, testing the foaling alarm and waiting...

She did it on her own. Ahhh. Oops. 😂

Thankfully, waiting for us this morning was a healthy, robust and excellent moving little chap, with an exceptional pedigree behind him and more bling than a royal!

His sire, Mr Right Now (FS Mr Right × Fidertanz), is an imported German bred, Weser-Ems licensed stallion. He was crowned 2022 Australian 4YO Young Pony Champion at Dressage & Jumping with the Stars, winning the 4YO commanded test with an outstanding 84.8% and going on to win the final. He later became Reserve Australian Pony Novice Champion at the 2023 Australian Dressage Championships.

His damsire, Cheval De Luxe, has an exceptional international and Australian performance record. German licensed, he placed 3rd in his German performance test and competed at the Bundeschampionate, achieving an overall score of 8.17.

After coming to Australia, Cheval De Luxe became Australian National FEI Pony Champion in both 2017 and 2018, Open FEI Small Tour Champion at Sydney CDI in 2017, and Open Medium Tour NSW State Champion in 2018. He also won at Prix St Georges level and progressed successfully all the way to Grand Prix, competing in open company against full-sized horses. Among his Grand Prix results was 2nd in the Grand Prix Freestyle at the 2019 Australian Dressage Championships, scoring 68.105%.

Add to that an ACE Elite assessed dam... yep. Can't go wrong. One of her prior foals, Kenlock Colton (x Camen) was an absolute ripper.

Sterling should be an asset as either a dressage or show prospect, complemented by his dashing good looks. We never really know which ones we’ll keep and which ones we’ll sell, I guess it just depends who else notices how outstanding they are first!

It’s always a great day when your order was simply “alive and well” and you somehow also get “four white stockings, a huge blaze and pretty as a picture.” 💛

Remember this catastrophe?

(How could you not, let's be real!!)

Well, it's now been 2 years since Totem attempted to decapitate herself... How's she been going, might you ask?

The main questions are...

Is she alive?
Is she sound?
Are there any residual issues?

The answers to those are... YES, YES, and NO.

Totem is rising 4yo in September, was bought by long time follower and student Catherine Defina (post injury, too!) and is well loved, attends clinics around the place, is extremely well schooled and seasoned, sensible, no emotional baggage from her ordeal, and will be getting started under saddle later this year.

I will post a few pics of the "Joker Scar" in the comments section. If you want to revisit what happened, the original post is right here too.

Still to this day, the most bizarre, chaotic, horrendous injury I've witnessed in person. I don't think anything else will ever come close again.

The vet bill landed at just under $10k to save her life. She spent a week in ICU then months and months of slow healing. Unfortunately it took a bit longer than it should have in a few places as some of the stitches split... (Expected given severity).

Dr. Travis Smyth from BVP is the angel to thank for her being alive today.

Thanks Catherine for loving this lady and being her forever person ❤️
