Meet Debbie, our most stylish patient! 🐔💕
She's been visiting us for bumblefoot - an infection of the foot pad that's common in backyard chickens. It often starts with a small cut or scrape and needs regular bandage changes and plenty of patience to heal.
This week Debbie arrived dressed for the occasion: a hand-knitted pink bonnet and a lace-trimmed apron. 👑
She’s a model patient - loves a cuddle while we change her bandage, and even pecks up her medicine and eats it out of your hand all by herself!
If your hen is limping, favouring one leg, or has a swelling on her foot, give us a call. Bumblefoot is much easier to treat when it's caught early.
