A beautiful long coat doesn’t happen by accident—it takes teamwork between you and your groomer. 💜

If you love your dog’s fluffy, longer style, regular brushing isn’t optional—it’s essential.

✨ Brush and comb right down to the base of the coat at least 2–3 times a week. Brushing only the top layer can leave painful knots and matting hidden underneath.

A good way to check your brushing is to run a comb through the coat all the way to the skin. If the comb glides through easily, you’re doing a great job!

✂️ Grooming schedule matters too:

💜 Longer clips: Every 4–6 weeks to keep the coat healthy, comfortable and mat-free.

💜 Shorter clips: Every 8 weeks is ideal. 10 weeks is the absolute maximum for most dogs before coat condition and comfort begin to suffer.

When coats become heavily matted, your groomer may have no choice but to clip them much shorter than planned. This isn’t about appearance—it’s about your dog’s comfort, health and welfare.
