Snoopy update

It’s the small wins after a very difficult few days post op for Snoopy 🥹🐾

We finally managed to get him up and outside tonight, assisted with his sling and harness, for a much needed wee.

He’s been pretty uncomfortable for most of today because now that the anaesthetic has fully worn off, he’s decided he absolutely does not want to wet himself anymore 😅 He held it on for 21 hours and we tried earlier today to get him out the front with no joy.

A small step, but a huge win for us 💙
I could cry happy tears to see my boy use his leg & p*e!!

Photo of him peacefully sound asleep now after non stop whining at us all day 😭❤️

Today’s the day 🥺🤞🏼

Snoopy has just gone through for surgery now we’re praying for a smooth surgery… and for his forgiveness when I pick him up later 😬

He only just started coming around to me again this morning after Tuesday’s vet visit 😬 so I’m sure I’ll be back in the bad books by this afternoon.

Walks are still going ahead today for our planned handover walks, and then from tomorrow I’ll officially transition into Snoopy’s full time nurse for the foreseeable future 🐾

Please bear with us during this time as replies may be a little slower than usual while we settle into his recovery routine.

Thank you again for all the love, support and understanding you’ve shown us. Now we just need our big boy safely back home. ❤️‍🩹

🐾 Snoopy Update & What’s Happening Next 🐾

After speaking with the vets, we’ve decided to go down the separate TPLO surgery route rather than doing both legs at once.
Snoopy’s first surgery is this Thursday, with the second to follow once he has recovered enough.

Because he is already coping with two ruptured CCLs, doing them separately should give him a better chance to regain strength and stability in the first leg before putting the second through surgery, hopefully making his recovery that little bit easier. ❤️

Walks will continue as normal Wednesday & Thursday this week.
From Friday onwards, regular walks will be paused unless owners are away and care has already been arranged.

For those booked in on Thursday, meet & greets/handover walks with Clara will still go ahead while Snoopy is in surgery so she can begin helping with walks from next week as her schedule allows.

I really appreciate all the messages of support, patience and understanding. We’re doing our best to get back to everyone amongst everything happening.

I never expected things to move this quickly but it is all in the best interest of my boy and I wouldn’t change a thing.

I do feel incredibly guilty knowing so many pups will miss out on their regular outings with me but I have to put that guilt aside for my biggest fan, Snoopy.
I promise I’ll see them all on the other side of this. 🥹❤️

And again to everyone who contributed towards Snoopy’s surgeries …thank you, truly.
I’m almost brought to tears every time I think about the generosity and support everyone has shown us.

It’s going to be a long road and a lot of firsts over the next 16 weeks but I’m hoping and praying the weeks fly by, I’m back out seeing all your pups before we know it and by then, my boy Snoopy will hopefully be back joining us on our social walks too. 🐾❤️

Snoopy is get plenty of post anaesthetic cuddles by his daycare friends and siblings 🥰

Meet Hazelnut 🐾

Hazelnut is a beautiful Bull Arab mix pup who is expected to grow into a medium - large sized dog.
She’s looking for a family who can continue helping her grow into a confident, well balanced adult dog.

Hazel is used to living with other dogs and enjoys having canine company.
However, she is currently showing some fear around unfamiliar dogs, so any resident dog will need to be gentle, social and non reactive.
To help build her confidence, Hazel will benefit from calm, positive exposure to other dogs without being pressured into interactions before she is ready, Hazel does well when dogs approach respectfully.

True to her Staffy nature, Hazel is a total cuddle bug who loves affection and currently spends her nights curled up on the humans bed!
She is familiar with a crate, has mastered the dog door and is eager to please, which should make ongoing training lots of fun.

Hazel loves playing on agility equipment and we think she would thoroughly enjoy dog sports, training or another activity that keeps her clever little brain and body busy.

She absolutely loves children and is incredibly gentle with them for a puppy.
As with any dog, children will need to respect her space and boundaries so she can continue building positive experiences with them.

While Hazel is undeniably adorable, she is still a puppy and a 15+ year commitment.
She will need time, consistency, training, socialisation and plenty of involvement from her new family.
Please make sure everyone in the household is ready for everything that comes with raising a puppy before applying.

In return, Hazel has all the makings of an incredibly loving, loyal and fun companion. 💛

🖤 SNOOPY UPDATE 🖤

As we prepare for Snoopy to head into surgery, I wanted to share the plan we made with the vet today and what things will look like around here over the coming weeks. 🐾❤️

Tuesday is X-ray & bloods day.

We’ll be X-raying both legs to get a clear picture of exactly what we’re dealing with - partial/full CCL tears and making sure there’s nothing else going on.

We’re also doing bloods to check his kidney/liver function after being on pain relief for an extended period and with more medication to come.

Once the specialists receive his X-rays, they’ll call me and we’ll make the final surgical plan & book him in.

At this stage, we’ll be opting for a bilateral TPLO under one anaesthetic. Snoopy doesn’t have a “good” leg to rely on anyway and if we can minimise the number of stressful vet visits and anaesthetics he has to go through, we will.

This means I need to prepare for him to potentially be completely dependent on me for the first 3 to 4 weeks.
The first week post op I will 100% not be available for work, aside from pre booked visits for owners who are away. After that, I’ll take each day/week as it comes.

If I could manage his recovery and work normally, I absolutely would but this is something I don’t want to rush or get wrong.
For a little while, Snoopy needs to be my #1 priority ❤️

BUT I also don’t want all of your dogs sitting at home wondering where their favourite dog walker disappeared to 😂

I’ve found an amazing local business run by Clara. Surf Side Paws
A qualified Vet Nurse with plenty of experience with dogs and high-
energy breeds.
Whether you use her temporarily until I return or decide she’s the perfect permanent fit for your dog is completely up to you!
All I care about is knowing your dogs are still getting what they need while Snoopy gets the TLC he needs from me.

If you’ll need someone while I’m off, please reach out to Clara and organise a meet & greet ASAP.
If she can’t help, message me and I can recommend some other local businesses I trust. 🐾

Lastly, THANK YOU.

We haven’t reached our full fundraising goal yet, so we’ll be leaving the link open until Snoopy has had his surgery.
I’m hopeful we’ll get close and whatever is left I’ll do my best to cover myself, even if it puts us in an uncomfortable spot for a little while.

I know I sound like a broken record but I genuinely can’t put into words how grateful I am for every donation, share, message and bit of support.

Because of you guys, my boy gets his chance to have two good legs again. ❤️

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: TOY EMERGENCY 🚨

Mum has put my favourite suckling toys in the washing machine WITHOUT my consent.

She claims she’s left me with 26 other toys while my stinky favourites “have a bath” as if that makes this situation any less traumatic.

Estimated wait time is 30 minutes and my estimated chance of survival is questionable.

I will remain stationed beside the washing machine until my babies are safely returned.

If you haven’t gathered already, the rain has officially shut us inside today 🌧️🐾

Safe to say Snoopy and the rest of the pack aren’t complaining about a day full of snuggles though 😂🤎

Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding this week and heading into the next few weeks.

Between Snoopy and this weather, things have been a little less than ideal but we’re taking it day by day 🫶🏼

24/08/2026

This is probably one of the hardest posts I’ve had to make and I feel incredibly awkward even sharing it. ❤️‍🩹

Most of you know Snoopy and know just how much he means to me. Unfortunately, after successfully managing his first CCL tear conservatively for around 18 months, he has now torn his other leg and surgery is really our only fair option moving forward.

Due to an injury Snoopy had early on, his insurance excludes any joint/back leg related problems as they’re considered pre existing ..meaning unfortunately none of this is covered.

I’ve managed to find a specialist who is willing to deal with Snoopy and all his quirks.
With surgery estimated at $6,500 -$8,000 per leg, plus specialist consults, X-rays, medication and rehab, the costs are more than I can manage alone.

There is absolutely no expectation to donate even just sharing his fundraiser would mean the world to us.

I’m usually much more comfortable being the person helping than asking for help but I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t at least try everything I could for my boy ❤️

Thank you to everyone who has already checked in on Snoop, offered help or sent us some love 🐾

🐾 EXPRESSION OF INTEREST - PALLET DOG BEDS 🐾

We’re seeing if there would be any interest in handmade pallet dog beds!

Suitable for indoors or outdoors in a sheltered area and can be made in different sizes to suit your dogs.

The bed pictured is ours with a king single mattress …probably a little excessive for most 😂 but we can make them half this size or smaller for little breeds.

Available in:
🤎 Natural wood stain
🤎 Dark wood stain similar to pictured

As we use pallet timber, the finished stain and colouring will vary slightly depending on the natural colour and grain of the wood.

Just putting the feelers out at this stage.
Comment or message us if you’d be interested! 🐶
